Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the superconductive breakdown of the superconductive magnetic coil for the subject electric rotary machine by a method wherein a radial-directioned penetrated hole is provided between a superconductive magnetic coil and the joined section of a torque tube and the heat infiltrated from the torque tube is absorbed therein. CONSTITUTION:The radial-directioned penetrated hole 22 is provided between the joined section of the torque tube 1 on a coil mounting shaft 2 and the superconductive magnetic coil 3. Liquid helium enters into this penetrated hole 22. Through these procedures, the greater part of the heat infiltrated through the torque tube 1 is absorbed by the liquid helium in the penetrated hole and there exists no possibility of the rise in temperature of the superconductive magnetic coil 3.
