Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a dew-formation sensor whose detecting time is short by producing a dew-formation detecting film formed over the confronting electrodes installed on a substrate, which is made of film containing organic high molecules and hidrophilic insulating powder, whose apparent contacting angle against water is less than 40°C.
CONSTITUTION: This sensor uses a dew-formation detecting film whose apparent contacting angle against water is less than 40° by reducing the proportion of organic high molecules, which is made of water-soluble (hidrophilic) high molecules (polyvinyl alcohol, partially saponificated polyacetate vinyl), organic high molecules such as epoxy resin, and a mixture [powder of semiconductors (such as CrO2, NiO) and powder of conductors (such as carbon, palladium) may be mixed in this mixture] of hidrophilic insulating powder (such as oxiyacid salt of phosphorus). The sensor is made by forming a dew-formation film 4 on the confronting comb-type electrodes 2, 3 installed on an insulative substrate 1 (5 and 6 are lead wires of electrodes).
