Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to increase the quantity of heat receivable from a high-temperature medium in a waste heat utilizing power plant using a low-boiling medium, by compensating the heat-resisting properties of a heating medium through controlling of the density of the low-boiling medium in the heating medium.
CONSTITUTION: High-temperature heating medium 101 applies heat in a heat exchanger 10 to a heating medium 102 flowing through a heat transfer pipe 12 and evaporates a low-boiling medium dissolved in the heating medium 102. The vapor of the low-boiling medium is sent to a turbine 3 via a liquid separator 13. On the other hand, heating medium 102 heated at the heat exchanger 10 is sent to a direct heat exchanger 2, where it is mixed with a low-boiling medium liquid 104 and vapor 103 of the low-boiling medium 104 is produced resultantly. The vapor 103 is sent to turbine 3 together with vapor 106. In the above system, there are further provided a heating medium storing tank 21, low-boiling medium storing tank 22, liquid level controlling means 26, 27, control valves 28W32, etc., for controlling the density of the low-boiling medium by controlling the amount of the heating medium and the low-boiling medium stored respectively in tanks 21, 22.
