Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the floating-up of the flocks, by introducing the raw water having the difference of temperature to the settled water which is always approximate to the standard difference set previously to the sedimentation basin.
CONSTITUTION: The raw water stored in the dam 1 is collected by the four water gates 3 installed at the water collecting tower 2 to be flowed into the water tank 4 and then sent to the sedimentation basin 6 after an injection of the flocculating agent through the chemicals injecting facilities 5. Thus the flocks in the water is settled at the bottom of the basin 6. The temperature sensor 8 is installed in the basin 6 to detect the temperature of the settled water. At the same time, the temperature sensor 9 is provided near the gate 3 of the tower 2 to detect the temperature of the raw water at the position of each water gate. The arithmetic control device 10 supplies the temperatures of both the settled water and the feed water and then performs an arithmetic process to deliver the open/close command of the dam gate group.
