Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a photoreceptor of high initial charge potential and sensitivity and low residual potential by laminating a photosensitive layer comprising amorphous silicon and a charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate then heat-treating the same.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer of about 0.005W5μm (preferably 0.1W 1μm) in film thickness comprising the amorphous silicon semiconductor (a-SiH) doped with about 0.1W40atom% hydrogen is provided on a conductive substrate (Al plate, glass applied with conductive coating, etc.), and further a charge transfer layer of about 1W100μm thicknesses comprising the electric-insulation-characteristic resin (for example, polycarbonate) dispersed with an organic charge carrier (for example, 1,3,5-triphenyl pyrazoline) is provided thereon. Next, this is heat- treated for about 5W60min at about 120W180°C, whereby the photoreceptor is provided. Any of N type, P type, P-N type may be used as the above-mentioned a- SiH.
