Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the needs for pelletizing powdery raw materials, simplify the operation of blast furnace, and reduce the operation cost by an operating method in which powdery raw materials obtained from a pig iron-making process are pneumatically sent from the tuyere of blast furnace into the furnace by using combustion air. CONSTITUTION:Dust, or powdery iron ore and coke, obtained through a dust remover 10 and a dust collector 11 from top gas discharge stage of the blast furnace 1 as a pig iron-making process is blown into a blow pipe 4 through a blasting nozzle 7 from a storage part 13 and then charged into the furnace 5 through the tuyere 6 by utilizing combustion air supplied through an annular air supply pipe 2 and an air blowing branch pipe 3 as a carrier gas. Then, the blast furnace 1 is operated. Thus, a processing treatment process to make the powdery raw materials lumps can be eliminated, the anomalous rise of temperature at the tip of tuyere due to an endothermic reaction caused by iron oxide present in the powdery raw materials can be prevented, and the coke ratio can be reduced.
