Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain well balanced reproduced sounds when the number of channels is decreased, by performing the reproduction by controlling the mixture ratio of acoustic signals by a control signal recorded on a magnetic tape together. CONSTITUTION:Acoustic signals are recorded on tracks of a magnetic tape provided as many as channels and the control signal that indicates the mixture ratio of those acoustic signals is recorded on a different track. When this magnetic tape is reproduced, reproduced signals are applied to terminals 141-14n, and the control signal to terminal 16. Through dividers 151-15n controlled by the control signal, those input signals are distributed for respective channels, and they are reproduced by reproducing devices 18a and 18b via mixing amplifiers 17a and 17b. Thus, signals are reproduced at the predetermined mixing ratio, so that well balanced reproduced sounds can be obtained.
