Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an active substance donor for affording an active substance (a drug or the like) to a contact body (a human body or the like) which can adsorb or absorb the active substance, comprising one or more layers of a porous membrane and a liquid containing a nonvolatile active substance filled in said membrane.
CONSTITUTION: The active substance donor is constituted from porous membrane 12 having numerous pores 11 distributed entirely and uniformly therein and liquid 13 containing an active substance filled in said pores 11. Herein a pore diameter of said pores 11 is 10μ or below, pref. 0.1W5μ practically and a thickness of the membrane 12 is about 10W500μ, pref. 50W300μ practically. A content of the active substance in the liquid containing said active substance is pref. 0.1W10wt.%. Said donor is used in dosing an active drug all over the body or locally by contacting with a skin or a mucous membrane of the body or in extincting a harmful small animal or inhibiting propagation thereof by arranging at an arbitrary place to induce said animal to be contacted with said donor. In addition, the donor can be used in providing an active substance to wood or a rust-inhibiting agent to a metal surface.
