Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize the moires between the halftone positive and gravure screen for lithography or letterpress by beforehand providing a reference line on the original and aligning the reference line to the base line of an original drum at the time of mounting the origianl to the original drum.
CONSTITUTION: The transparent base board 3 fixed with a transmission type orignal 1 is loaded in close contact with the innermost straight line part 6 of the orignal frame 5 and the original 1 is projected onto a projection plate 9. The projected image is so adjusted that it becomes of the same size as that of the layout image placed on the projecting plate 9 and at the same time both images are superposed. In this position, layout assignment paper 40 is fixed. Next, a rule 10 is matched to the place where the layout assignment paper 40 is placed and is fixed to that angle. Next, the transparent base board 3 is taken out and is so placed that the side in contact with the innermost straight line part 6 of the orignal frame 5 becomes parallel or rectangular to the transparent base board detaining part 26 of the projecting plate 9. A reference line 43 is then drawn on the non-image part of the transmission type original at the fixed angle of the rule 10. Aligning this reference line 43 to the base line of the original drum minimizes moires.
