Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible containing of decrease benders in a block by containing the increase benders of the specific mechanism in the middle step of the project block having 3 steps of protrusions. CONSTITUTION:When pressure oil is supplied to the decrease benders 21, 22 contained in the upper- and lower-step protrusions of a block 20, pistons 21A, 22A operate to approach upper and lower work roll chocks 30, 31, therey increasing the bending force upon the rolling material inserted between the work rolls 5, 6. Next, when pressure oil is supplied to the increase bender 23 contained in the middle-step protrusion of the block, a cylinder 24 descends by l2 and a piston 25 ascends by l1 to push out the vane parts 32 of the respective work roll chocks, thereby decreasing the bending force upon the rolling material. With this device, the whole benders may be built in the block and therefore the mounting, dismounting and exchanging of the rolls become easy.
