Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the rotary electric machine-cooling effect, and enable both end portions of a rotary shaft of the machine to be used for a load, by attaching a ventilation fan electric motor to an axial end portion of a rotary electric machine body, and exposing an end portion of the rotary shaft in the machine body to the outside penetrating through a rotor of the fan electric motor. CONSTITUTION:A stator support 7 is projected from an end bracket 6 of a rotary electric machine body, and a rotor 8 of a ventilation fan electric motor is held on the support 7. A rotor 2 of the fan electric motor having a fan 1 is provided with a center hole 3, through which a rotary shaft 4 of the rotary electric machine body is passed via bearings 5. An end portion 4 of the rotary shaft 4 is exposed to the outside of a cover 9. According to this structure, a resistance to the auxilially advancing air can be reduced. Consequently, the cooling effect can be improved. In addition, both end portions of the rotary shaft of the rotary electric machine body can be used for a load.
