Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure radiation dose distributions automatically and continuously in the position apart from the measuring object by providing a collimator which has a radiation transmission hole having the specified opening angle with respect to the measuring object and a plurality of radiation detectors behind the same.
CONSTITUTION: There is a radiation transmission hole of the shape being cut in conically from the front and back in the collimator 1 which is made of a plate body of lead or the like of small radiation transmittance. A plurality of radiation detectors 31W3n are placed at approximately an equal spacing in the arc form centering at the transmission hole, behind the collimator 1 to detect the radiations from the measuring object 4. The range of measurement is determined by the opening angle of the transmission hole and the disposition of the detector 3. The detectors 31W3n have output linearity to radiation energy and the outputs thereof are amplified by sense amplifiers 51W5n and further the outputs thereof are input to amplitude discriminating circuits 61W6n, by which the radiation outputs of the single energy from the specific radiation nuclide are selected and are input to a processing circuit 7. These are then input to a display device 8 and recording device 9, whereby the automatic data collection is accomplished.
