Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware and to decrease the burden of the central processing section, by providing the buffer between units of the information storage conversion unit and operating each unit with independent program for scattering control. CONSTITUTION:When the facsimile terminal is connected to the reception line 8, the reception tonal signal control section 3 performs tonal signal control. The facsimile information received is received at the redundancy suppression coder and buffer section 5 and stored with redundancy suppression and coding. The information stored is transferred to the large capacity auxiliary memory section 2. The facsimile terminal transmitted is connected to the transmission line 9, and tonal signal control is made with the transmission tonal signal control section 4. The information stored in the large capacity auxiliary memory section 2 is transferred to the redundancy extension and decoding section and the transmission buffer section 6 and delivered to the line 9 with redundancy extension and decoding.
