Abstract
PURPOSE: To thoroughly descale hot rolled steel sheet with high efficiency and no environmental pollution by qeunching the sheet of a predetermined temp. range at a predetermined cooling rate, follwed by mechanical descaling.
CONSTITUTION: Hot rolled steel sheet 1 of 723W570°C is uncoiled by uncioler 2, cooled by cooler 3 to a temp. below 200°C at a cooling rate over 20°C/min, bent by 1.5W15% with bending roll 4, thoroughly descaled with brushing unit 5, and rolled round cioder 6. It is desirable to begin the above processes whtn the sheet hot coiler in a hot rolling process is in the range of 570W723°C. The above processes are begun after heating the coiled sheet to 570W723°C if necessary. The cooling is pref. begun from the outside of the metal strip
