Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure accurately the load by attaching the load measuring unit to the two columns in the point symmetrical position relating to the center point of cross section of the mechanical press.
CONSTITUTION: A load measuring unit 20 is a bar and consists in upper and lower tension diameter part and compressive diameter part in its center, and the bar provides the strain amplifying function by attaching load cell in the compressive diameter part of the bar. The column for attaching the measuring unit 20 is the one which is located in the point symmetrical position relating to the center point of cross section of a press 10. Furthermore, the unit is attached in two places of the point symmetrical position relating to the center point of the cross section of the column. The strain, produced when forging load is present in the column 11 and tension load works on a bar of the measuring unit 20, is measured by this unit. Then, it is sent to the dynamic strain type load gauge for the calculation of the forging load
