Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain reception at high sensitivity while suppressing the increase of a cost by using a high frequency amplifier for a substantial high frequency amplifier amplifying a reception signal in common use as an intermediate frequency amplifier amplifying an intermediate frequency signal. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency amplifier 11 having a gain to both a reception band and an intermediate frequency band is prepared and a reception signal is given to the high frequency amplifier 11 and a high pass filter 12 is provided on the output side of the high frequency amplifier 11 and the amplified reception signal is extracted by the high pass filter 12. The extracted reception signal is inputted to a frequency converter 3, in which the signal is converted into an intermediate frequency signal having lower frequency than the reception frequency. The intermediate frequency signal is inputted again to the high frequency amplifier 11, where the intermediate frequency signal is amplified. A low pass filter 14 is connected to the output of the high frequency amplifier 11 and the low pass filter 14 extracts the intermediate frequency signal. Thus, the increase of the cost and the increase of power consumption are suppressed to attain high sensitivity.

``Problems to be Solved by the Invention'' In a conventional receiving circuit, if one attempts to increase the sensitivity, the gain of the high frequency amplifier 2 or the intermediate frequency amplifier 6 must be increased. In order to increase the gain of the amplifier 2 or 6, the number of active elements must be increased, which has the disadvantage of increasing cost and power consumption. The purpose of this invention is to provide a receiving circuit that can achieve high sensitivity while suppressing increases in cost and power consumption. "Means for Solving the Problem" In this invention, a high frequency amplifier that has utility in both the reception band and the intermediate frequency band is prepared, and this high frequency amplifier has a reception
3, and a high-pass filter is provided on the output side of this high-frequency amplifier, and the amplified received A3 signal is passed through the high-frequency
It is extracted through a 1-pass filter. The extracted received signal is input to a frequency converter and converted to an intermediate frequency signal with a frequency lower than the received frequency. This intermediate frequency signal is applied to high frequency amplification 2 to amplify the intermediate frequency signal. A low-pass filter is connected to the output side of the high-frequency amplifier, and the intermediate frequency signal is extracted by this low-pass filter. As described above, according to the configuration of the present invention, one high frequency amplifier can be used not only as an original high frequency amplifier but also as an intermediate frequency amplifier, so it can be constructed at low cost. Furthermore, since one amplifier is shared as both a high frequency amplifier and an intermediate frequency amplifier, power consumption can be reduced. In addition, high sensitivity can be easily achieved by simply adding a simple high-frequency amplifier.

"Embodiment" FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, 1 is a receiving tuning circuit, 3 is a frequency converter, and 4 is a local oscillator, which are the same as in the conventional explanation. The received signal RS extracted by the high-pass filter l2 is input to the frequency converter 3, and is converted into an intermediate frequency signal having a frequency lower than the frequency of the received signal RS. That is, a bandpass filter 13 is provided on the output side of the frequency converter 3, and this bandpass filter 13 extracts a signal having a frequency that is the difference between the frequency of the received signal and the frequency of the local oscillator 4 as an intermediate frequency signal IF. The frequency signal IF is re-powered to the high frequency amplifier l1. The regenerated intermediate frequency signal IF is transferred to this high frequency amplifier l1.
is amplified again by the low-pass filter l4 provided on the output side.
The signal is taken out by the demodulator 15 and supplied to the demodulator circuit 15, etc. Generally, the frequency of the received signal RS and the intermediate frequency are often far apart. For example, in FM broadcasting, the lower limit frequency of the receiving frequency band is 75 MHz, and the intermediate frequency is 10.7
Since it is MHz, the magnification is about 7 times.

Therefore, the received signal RS and the intermediate frequency signal IF can be easily separated and extracted by the high-pass filter l2 and the low-pass filter l4, and only the intermediate frequency signal IF can be provided to the demodulation circuit 15.

Figure 2 shows a modified embodiment of this invention. In this example, a first frequency converter I6 is provided on the front stage side, the first frequency converter 16 performs first frequency conversion in advance, and the first frequency converted first intermediate frequency signal IF. A case is shown in which the signal is configured to be input to the receiving circuit 20 according to the present invention. Therefore, the frequency converter 3 provided in the receiving circuit 20 according to the invention

In FIG. 2, reference numeral 17 indicates a first local oscillator, and reference numeral 18 indicates a band pass filter for extracting the first intermediate frequency signal IF+. "Effects of the Invention" As explained above, according to the present invention, one high frequency amplifier 11 is operated both as an original high frequency amplifier for amplifying a received signal and as an intermediate frequency amplifier for amplifying an intermediate frequency signal. It is possible to achieve high sensitivity without using many active elements, and therefore it is possible to use a high-sensitivity receiver while increasing the cost. Furthermore, since the increase in active elements can be suppressed, a receiver with low power consumption can be obtained. Therefore, when configured to be battery-driven, the advantage is that the battery life can be extended.
