Description
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態による火花点火式の内燃機関100の概略構成図である。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態について説明する。本実施形態は、第2混合気を形成するための点火用燃料以外にも、第2燃料噴射弁3を気化潜熱によって冷却するための冷却用燃料を第2燃料噴射弁3から噴射する点で、第1実施形態と相違する。以下、その相違点を中心に説明する。

Claims (3)
- 機関本体と、
前記機関本体の燃焼室に臨むように電極部が配置された点火プラグと、
前記機関本体の吸気通路又は燃焼室内に燃料を噴射する第1燃料噴射弁と、
前記燃焼室内に燃料を噴射する第2燃料噴射弁と、
を備える内燃機関であって、
前記燃焼室内に均質混合気を形成するための燃料が前記第1燃料噴射弁から噴射されると共に前記電極部の近傍に点火用混合気を形成するための点火用燃料が前記第2燃料噴射弁から噴射されて、空気過剰率が2.0以上の希薄燃焼が行われる燃焼サイクルにおいて、
前記点火用燃料は、少なくとも、前記点火プラグの点火時期よりも20度だけ進角側のクランク角度から前記点火時期までの間に、1.0[mm3/ms]以上の噴射率で250[μs]以上の期間に亘って噴射され、
前記点火用燃料の燃料量は、2.0[mm3/st]以下であり、
前記機関本体は、前記燃焼室の頂面に開口する吸気ポート側から排気ポート側に向かう方向に流れて前記電極部を通過するタンブル流を前記燃焼室内に発生させることができるように構成され、
前記第2燃料噴射弁は、前記電極部に向けて前記タンブル流の流れ方向と同一方向に直接燃料を噴射する、
内燃機関。 - 前記燃焼サイクルにおいて、前記第2燃料噴射弁を冷却するための冷却用燃料が、前記点火用燃料とは別に前記第2燃料噴射弁から噴射される、
請求項1に記載の内燃機関。 - 前記冷却用燃料は、圧縮上死点前360度から圧縮上死点前90度までのクランク角度範囲内で噴射される、
請求項2に記載の内燃機関。
