Claims (13)
- 発光素子と当該発光素子からの照射光が物体で反射された反射光を受光する受光素子とを用いて車載用ディスプレイ装置への物体の近接を検知する近接検知装置であって、
発光素子から照射される照射光の一部を、発光素子からの照射光が十分に届かない領域に向けて反射させるように、発光素子の近傍に取り付けられた第1の反射部材を含み、
前記発光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の近傍に複数取り付けられ、複数の発光素子の各光軸は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の表示面に対し斜め方向であり、
運転席側の発光素子による検知距離は、助手席側の発光素子による検知距離よりも短く、少なくとも運転席側の発光素子の近傍に第1の反射部材が取り付けられる、近接検知装置。 - 近接検知装置はさらに、発光素子からの反射光を広範囲で受光できるように、受光素子の近傍に取り付けられた第2の反射部材を含む、請求項1に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記発光素子は、LEDであり、前記第1の反射部材は、前記発光素子の光軸から一定の角度以内の照射光であって第1の反射部材に向けられた一部の照射光が反射されるように取り付けられる、請求項1に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記一定の角度は、半値角である、請求項3に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記第2の反射部材は、前記受光素子の光軸から一定の角度以内の反射光であって第2の反射部材に向けられた一部の反射光が受光されるように取り付けられる、請求項2に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記一定の角度は、半値角である、請求項5に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記発光素子および前記受光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の周辺に一体に取り付けられる、請求項1ないし3いずれか1つに記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記第2の反射部材は、少なくとも運転席側の受光素子の近傍に取り付けられる、請求項2に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記発光素子および前記受光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の下部に取り付けられ、前記発光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の上方に向けて照射し、前記第1の反射部材は、前記発光素子の照射光の一部を上方に向けて反射する、請求項1に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記発光素子が前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の下部に左右方向に複数配置された場合、前記発光素子の少なくとも1つの下部に制限された幅の第1の反射部材がそれぞれ取り付けられる、請求項9に記載の近接検知装置。
- 前記発光素子および前記受光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の左右にそれぞれ取り付けられ、前記発光素子は、前記車載用ディスプレイ装置の下方に向けて照射し、前記第1の反射部材は、前記発光素子の照射光の一部を下方に向けて反射する、請求項8に記載の近接検知装置。
- 近接検知装置はさらに、発光素子および受光素子を収容するための収容部材を含み、当該収容部材には、前記発光素子と前記第1の反射部材とを収容するための第1の空間と、前記受光素子と前記第2の反射部材とを収容するための第2の空間とが形成され、
第1の空間の第1の面に前記発光素子が取り付けられ、当該第1の面と一定の角度を成す第2の面に前記第1の反射部材が取り付けられ、
第2の空間の第3の面に前記受光素子が取り付けられ、当該第3の面と一定の角度を成す第4の面に前記第2の反射部材が取り付けられる、請求項2に記載の近接検知装置。 - 前記第2の面と前記第4の面とが略等しい高さにあり、前記発光素子の光軸と前記受光素子の光軸の高さの略等しいとき、第1の反射部材は、第2の反射部材よりも高い位置に取り付けられる、請求項12に記載の近接検知装置。
