Description
本発明の一態様に係るボイルオフガス処理システムは、液化ガスが貯留されているタンクで発生したボイルオフガスを燃焼可能であって、蒸気を生成するボイラと、前記タンクで発生したボイルオフガスに対して液化処理を行う再液化装置と、前記再液化装置で液化処理が行なわれた気液混合状態のボイルオフガスを気相と液相とに分離する分離部と、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを、ボイルオフガスを燃焼可能である主機用内燃機関とへ導く第1配管と、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記ボイラへ導く第2配管と、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記主機用内燃機関へ導くか、前記ボイラへ導くかを切り換える切換部と、を備えている。
本実施形態に係るボイルオフガス処理システム4は、LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas)を運搬する船舶1に適用されている。なお、船舶1が運搬する対象はLNGに限定されず、例えば、LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas)等の他の液化ガスであってもよい。
制御装置50は、例えば、CPU(Central Processing Unit)、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、及びコンピュータ読み取り可能な記憶媒体等から構成されている。そして、各種機能を実現するための一連の処理は、一例として、プログラムの形式で記憶媒体等に記憶されており、このプログラムをCPUがRAM等に読み出して、情報の加工・演算処理を実行することにより、各種機能が実現される。なお、プログラムは、ROMやその他の記憶媒体に予めインストールしておく形態や、コンピュータ読み取り可能な記憶媒体に記憶された状態で提供される形態、有線又は無線による通信手段を介して配信される形態等が適用されてもよい。コンピュータ読み取り可能な記憶媒体とは、磁気ディスク、光磁気ディスク、CD-ROM、DVD-ROM、半導体メモリ等である。
決定部51は、分離ガスの熱量(熱量計35で計測した熱量)が、記憶部53が記憶している所定の閾値以上の場合に、分離ガスの供給先を主機用エンジン2に決定し、所定の閾値よりも少ない場合に、分離ガスの供給先をボイラ15に決定する。
切換制御部52は、決定部51が分離ガスの供給先をボイラ15に決定すると、分離ガス配管33に設けられている第2バルブ33aを全開状態とするとともに、分岐配管36に設けられている第3バルブ36aを全閉状態とする。また、このとき、ボイラ供給配管19に設けられた第1バルブ19aを全閉状態とする。
各タンク3で発生したボイルオフガスは、各タンク3内の圧力が所定の圧力を超えると、排出配管3aを介して供給配管11に流入する。供給配管11に流入したボイルオフガスは、供給配管11内を流通する。このとき、ボイラ供給配管19の第1バルブ19aが開状態の場合には、ボイルオフガスの一部がボイラ供給配管19へ流入する。ボイラ供給配管19へ流入したボイルオフガスは、ボイラ15へ供給され、燃料として燃焼される。
再液化されたLNGは、LNG配管31を介して、各タンク3へ導かれる。このようにして、ボイルオフガスは再液化され、タンク3へ戻される。一方、分離ガスは、分離ガス配管33を介して熱交換器22へ供給される。熱交換器22で熱交換を終えた分離ガスは、分離ガス配管33内を流通する。分離ガス配管33内を流通する分離ガスは、供給先がボイラ15である場合(すなわち、第2バルブ33aが開状態であって、第3バルブ36aが閉状態の場合)には、ボイラ供給配管19を介して、ボイラ15へ供給され、燃料として燃焼される。供給先が主機用エンジン2である場合(すなわち、第2バルブ33aが閉状態であって、第3バルブ36aが開状態の場合)には、分岐配管36を介して、供給配管11に流入する。供給配管11に流入すると、圧縮部12等を介して主機用エンジン2へ導かれる。
本実施形態では、気液分離器14で分離された分離ガスを、主機用エンジン2とボイラ15との何れにも導くことができる。したがって、分離ガスを、燃焼処理できるとともに、主機用エンジン2及び/またはボイラ15で燃料として利用することができる。よって、分離ガスを利用しない構成(分離ガスをGCU(Gas Combustion Unit)等で燃焼処理する構成)と比較して、システム全体のエネルギ効率を向上させることができる。
本実施形態では、熱量計35で分離ガスの熱量を計測し、計測した熱量に基づいて供給先を決定している。これにより、分離ガスの供給先を、熱量の観点から適切な供給先とすることができる。
一方、分離ガスの熱量が小さく、主機用エンジン2で分離ガスを好適に燃焼させることができない場合(換言すれば、分離ガスの熱量が、記憶部53が記憶する所定の閾値よりも少ない場合)には、分離ガスをボイラ15に導くことで、分離ガスを燃焼処理することができるとともに、燃焼処理に伴って生じたエネルギを蒸気の生成に利用することができる。
このように、本実施形態では、熱量に応じた供給先へ分離ガスを導くことができる。また、何れの供給先へ分離ガスを供給した場合であっても、燃焼で生じるエネルギを利用することができるので、エネルギ効率を向上させることができる。
次に、本実施形態の変形例について説明する。
本変形例では、熱量計35の代わりに、分離ガス配管33に分離ガスの窒素含有量を計測する窒素含有量計測機(窒素含有量計測部)を設けられている点、及び、記憶部53が所定の閾値として、主機用エンジン2が、好適に燃焼させることができる燃料の窒素含有量の上限値を記憶している点で、上記実施形態と異なる。また、分離ガスの窒素含有量が所定の閾値よりも少ない場合に、決定部51が分離ガスの供給先を主機用エンジン2に決定している点で上記実施形態と異なっている。
このように構成することで、火炎を形成するための他の燃料(燃料油やボイラ供給配管19を介して供給されるボイルオフガス)の使用量を低減することができる。

Claims (4)
- 液化ガスが貯留されているタンクで発生したボイルオフガスを燃焼可能であって、蒸気を生成するボイラと、
前記タンクで発生したボイルオフガスに対して液化処理を行う再液化装置と、
前記再液化装置で液化処理が行なわれた気液混合状態のボイルオフガスを気相と液相とに分離する分離部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを、ボイルオフガスを燃焼可能である主機用内燃機関へ導く第1配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記ボイラへ導く第2配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記主機用内燃機関へ導くか、前記ボイラへ導くかを切り換える切換部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの窒素含有量を計測する窒素含有量計測部と、
前記窒素含有量計測部が計測した窒素含有量に基づいて、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの供給先を決定する決定部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスが、前記決定部が決定した供給先へ供給されるように前記切換部を制御する切換制御部と、を備えたボイルオフガス処理システム。 - 液化ガスが貯留されているタンクで発生したボイルオフガスを燃焼可能であって、蒸気を生成するボイラと、
前記タンクで発生したボイルオフガスに対して液化処理を行う再液化装置と、
前記再液化装置で液化処理が行なわれた気液混合状態のボイルオフガスを気相と液相とに分離する分離部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを、ボイルオフガスを燃焼可能である主機用内燃機関へ導く第1配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記ボイラへ導く第2配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記主機用内燃機関へ導くか、前記ボイラへ導くかを切り換える切換部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの熱量を計測する熱量計測部と、
前記熱量計測部が計測した熱量に基づいて、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの供給先を決定する決定部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスが、前記決定部が決定した供給先へ供給されるように前記切換部を制御する切換制御部と、を備えたボイルオフガス処理システム。 - 液化ガスが貯留されているタンクで発生したボイルオフガスを燃焼可能であって、蒸気を生成するボイラと、
前記タンクで発生したボイルオフガスに対して液化処理を行う再液化装置と、
前記再液化装置で液化処理が行なわれた気液混合状態のボイルオフガスを気相と液相とに分離する分離部と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを、ボイルオフガスを燃焼可能である主機用内燃機関へ導く第1配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記ボイラへ導く第2配管と、
前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスを前記主機用内燃機関へ導くか、前記ボイラへ導くかを切り換える切換部と、
前記ボイラの圧力を計測する圧力計測部と、
前記ボイラにおいて火炎を形成する場合に、前記圧力計測部が計測した圧力に基づいて、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの供給先を決定する決定部と、
前記決定部が決定した供給先へボイルオフガスが供給されるように前記切換部を制御する切換制御部と、を備え、
前記決定部は、前記圧力計測部が計測した圧力が、所定の閾値よりも低い場合に、前記分離部で分離された気相のボイルオフガスの供給先を前記ボイラに決定するボイルオフガス処理システム。 - 請求項1から請求項3のいずれかの記載のボイルオフガス処理システムを備えた船舶。
