Claims (15)
- 樹脂に組み込むための繊維トウであって、
フィラメント断面幅を各々有する複数の強化フィラメント(158)と、
前記フィラメント断面幅よりも小さい粒子断面幅を有する、複数のポリマーナノ粒子(200)とを含み、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部は、前記強化フィラメント(158)の少なくとも一つ及び/又は他のポリマーナノ粒子(200)に結合され、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子の少なくとも一部が、前記樹脂の硬化温度までは固体の状態に維持され、前記樹脂の硬化温度では前記樹脂に溶解するように構成されている材料組成物を有する、繊維トウ。 - 前記複数の強化フィラメント(158)は、第1のフィラメントと第2のフィラメントとを含み、
前記複数のポリマーナノ粒子(200)は、前記第1のフィラメントに結合された第1のポリマーナノ粒子と、前記第2のフィラメントに結合された第2のポリマーナノ粒子とを含み、
前記第1のポリマーナノ粒子は、前記第2のフィラメント及び/又は第2のポリマーナノ粒子に接触している、
請求項1に記載の繊維トウ。 - 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)は、10〜200ナノメートルの粒子断面幅を有する、請求項1又は2に記載の繊維トウ。
- 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)は下記、
熱可塑性材料、アクリル、フッ化炭素、ポリアミド、ポリオレフィン、ポリエチレン、ポリエステル、ポリカーボネート、ポリプロピレン、ポリウレタン、ポリアリールエーテルケトン、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリエーテルスルホン、ポリスルホン、及びポリフェニルスルホン;
熱硬化性材料、ポリウレタン、フェノール、ポリイミド、スルホン化ポリマー(ポリフェニレンスルフィド)、導電性ポリマー(例:ポリアニリン)、ベンゾキサジン、ビスマレイミド、シアネートエステル、ポリエステル、エポキシ、チオール、及びシルセスキオキサン
の内の少なくとも一つを含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の繊維トウ。 - 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部は、コア(212)を封入するシース(sheath)(210)を有するコア−シースナノ粒子(208)であり、前記シースは、前記コアとは異なる材料で形成されており、
前記シースは、少なくとも一つの強化フィラメントに結合されている、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の繊維トウ。 - 前記シース(210)が、前記強化フィラメントに融解結合した熱可塑性材料で形成されている、請求項5に記載の繊維トウ。
- 複数のポリマーナノ粒子(200)を一又は複数の強化フィラメント(158)に結合させることであって、各強化フィラメントがフィラメント断面幅を有する一又は複数の強化フィラメント(158)に、前記フィラメント断面幅よりも小さい粒子断面幅を有するポリマーナノ粒子 (200)を結合させることと、
前記強化フィラメント(158)に樹脂を注入することと、
樹脂注入中に、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を使用して、前記強化フィラメント(158)間にフィラメント間隔を維持することと、
前記強化フィラメント(158)の樹脂注入後に、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部を前記樹脂に溶解させることと、
を含み、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子の少なくとも一部が、前記樹脂の硬化温度までは固体の状態に維持され、前記樹脂の硬化温度では前記樹脂に溶解するように構成されている材料組成物を有する、
複合構造を製造するための方法。 - 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部は、前記強化フィラメント(158)の少なくとも別の一つに、及び/又は他のポリマーナノ粒子(200)に結合される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部は、コア(212)を封入するシース(210)を有するコア−シースナノ粒子(208)であり、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を一又は複数の強化フィラメント(158)に結合させるステップは、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)のシースを、一又は複数の強化フィラメント(158)に少なくとも部分的に融解結合させること
を含む、請求項7又は8に記載の方法。 - 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)のシースを前記強化フィラメントに融解結合させるステップが、
前記強化フィラメント(158)を加熱することと、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を含むガスの渦を使用して、加熱された強化フィラメントに噴霧することと
を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - プリプレグ工程前又はその最中に、及び/又は乾燥繊維プリフォームの樹脂注入前に、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を一又は複数の強化フィラメント(158)に結合させることを更に含む、請求項7から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記強化フィラメント(158)を複合レイアップに配置することを更に含む、請求項7から11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記複合構造の繊維体積率を上げるために、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の前記一部を溶解させた後で、前記強化フィラメント(158)と共に圧縮させることを更に含む請求項7から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 樹脂注入後に、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部を固体の状態に維持することと、
樹脂注入後、そして樹脂硬化中に、前記複合レイアップの所望の繊維体積率を維持することと
を更に含む、請求項7から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部は、前記樹脂よりも高い強靭性を有する熱可塑性材料で形成されており、
樹脂硬化前又はその最中に、前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)の少なくとも一部を前記樹脂に溶解させることと、
前記ポリマーナノ粒子(200)を溶解させた結果として、ポリマーナノ粒子(200)が欠けている樹脂に比べて、前記樹脂の強靭性を高めることと
を更に含む、請求項7から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
