Claims (14)
- 円筒体と、同円筒体の第1キャップ端部における第1表面と、前記円筒体の第2キャップ端部における第2表面とを含む気密封止型ハウジングと、
第1及び第2電極であって、前記第1電極は前記第1キャップ端部に配置され、前記第2電極は前記ハウジングの前記第2キャップ端部に、またはそれに近接するように配置され、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうち一方は前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されており、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうち他方は前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されておらず、前記第1及び第2電極は組織及び流体のうち少なくとも一方と接触する導電部を含み、前記円筒体は長さを有し、前記第1及び第2電極は前記円筒体の長さによって分離されている、前記第1及び第2電極と、
前記円筒体に設けられた電気絶縁コーティングであって、前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されていない電極の活性領域を、前記第1キャップ端部若しくは前記第2キャップ端部のうち、前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されていない電極が配置されている方のキャップ端部、又はその一部に限定するように構成される、前記電気絶縁コーティングと、
前記第1及び第2電極を利用して刺激性電気エネルギーを送達する治療回路と、
第2別装置と通信する遠隔測定回路と
を含むことを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。 - 請求項1に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記治療回路は刺激性電気エネルギーを前記第1及び第2電極に送達するように構成されており、前記遠隔測定回路は無刺激性電気エネルギーを前記第1及び第2電極へ送達することによって、前記第2別装置との情報通信を行うように構成されていることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1または2に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記第2電極は前記第2表面に配置され、前記気密封止型ハウジングに対して電導的に接続されることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記第1電極は前記第1キャップ端部に配置されたピン電極であり、前記ピン電極はその端部のみにおいて電極として機能し、前記第1キャップ端部とほぼ直交するように配置されることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記治療回路は電極対のカソードとする前記第1電極を利用し、前記電極対のアノードとする前記第2電極を利用して、前記刺激性電気エネルギーを送達するように構成されていることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記遠隔測定回路は前記第1及び第2電極において、無刺激性電気エネルギーを検知することによって、前記第2別装置と通信するように構成されていることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、更に、誘導コイルを含み、前記遠隔測定回路は前記誘導コイルを利用して前記第2別装置と通信するように構成されていることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項7に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、
前記気密封止型ハウジングの円筒体は長尺状円筒体であって、前記電気絶縁コーティングは前記長尺状円筒体に亘って配置され、前記第1表面の外周から前記第2表面の外周へ実質的に延在し、前記誘導コイルは前記電気絶縁コーティング内に含まれる電気伝導体によって形成されることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。 - 請求項8に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、
前記気密封止型ハウジングの円筒体の長さは前記第1及び第2表面の少なくとも一方のうちの少なくとも一方の直径よりも短く、かつ円板形状を有し、前記誘導コイルは前記円筒体の外周において形成されていることを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記電気絶縁コーティングは長尺状の前記円筒体にわたって配置され、前記第1キャップ端部の外周から前記第2キャップ端部の外周へ実質的に延在し、電気伝導体によって形成されるアンテナは前記電気絶縁コーティング内に含まれ、前記遠隔測定回路は前記アンテナを利用して前記第2別装置と通信することを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、前記気密封止型ハウジングの第1表面の外周に配置されている第3電極と、前記第2、第3電極を利用して、固有の電気的な心臓活動を検知する心臓信号検知回路と、を含むことを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載のリードレス植込み型医療装置において、固定機構を含み、前記固定機構は電気絶縁材料を含むことを特徴とするリードレス植込み型医療装置。
- リードレス植込み型医療装置用のハウジングを形成する工程であって、前記ハウジングは円筒体と、前記円筒体の第1キャップ端部における第1表面と、前記円筒体の第2キャップ端部における第2表面とを含む、工程と、
前記第1キャップ端部において第1電極を配置し、前記第2キャップ端部において第2電極を配置し、前記円筒体に電気絶縁コーティングを配置して形成する工程であって、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうち一方は前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されており、前記第1電極及び前記第2電極のうち他方は前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されておらず、前記第1及び第2電極は組織及び流体の少なくとも一方と接触する導電部を含み、前記円筒体は長さを有し、前記第1及び第2電極は前記円筒体の長さによって分離されているように配置され、前記電気絶縁コーティングは前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されていない電極の活性領域を、前記第1キャップ端部若しくは前記第2キャップ端部のうち、前記円筒体から電気的に絶縁されていない電極が配置されている方のキャップ端部、又はその一部に限定するように構成される工程と、
前記ハウジング内に、前記第1及び第2電極を利用して電気心臓刺激エネルギーを送達するように構成されている治療回路を含める工程と、
前記ハウジング内に、第2別装置と情報通信を行うように構成されている遠隔測定回路を含める工程と
を含む方法。 - 長尺状円筒体を含むハウジングを形成することを含む、ハウジングを形成する請求項13に記載の方法において、
前記方法は更に、前記長尺状円筒体にわたって電気絶縁コーティングを配置し、前記第1キャップ端部の外周から前記第2キャップ端部の外周に前記電気絶縁コーティングを延長する工程を含み、
前記治療回路は前記電気心臓刺激エネルギーを前記第1及び第2電極に送達するように構成され、
前記遠隔測定回路は無刺激性電気エネルギーを前記第1及び第2電極に送達することによって前記第2別装置と通信するように構成されていることを特徴とする方法。
