Description
本発明を適用した液晶表示装置の一例である液晶テレビを図1および図2に示す。
図1は、第1実施形態の液晶テレビ1内部の正面図である。
図2(a)は、図1のA−A断面の部分拡大図、図2(b)は、図1のB−B断面の部分拡大図である。
図3(a)は、LED8を配線基板20に搭載した断面図で、図2(b)の断面図で導光板を省略して示したものである。
図3(b)は、配線基板20のLED搭載面(LED搭載前の状態)を示したものである。
図4は、発熱量0.32W、電極サイズ0.8mm×1.1mmのLEDが20mmピッチで厚さ1mmの配線基板上に配列された場合の、LED電極のシャーシからの温度上昇値と配線パターン幅d、スルーホール数との関係を示したものである。
上記第1実施例では、LEDを搭載した配線基板が直接シャーシにねじ止めされる。本実施例では取り付け用の部材により配線基板をシャーシに取り付ける。
図6(a)は、図2(b)の矢印Bの方向から見た正面断面図を示し、図6(b)は、図6(a)のA−A断面で、LED8とLED8の間の非搭載部での断面を、図6(c)は、図6(a)のB−B断面で、LED8の搭載部での断面を示す。LEDの配線基板への搭載,配線基板の構成,配線基板とシャーシ間に設置する熱伝導シートなどは、第1実施例と同じである。

Claims (4)
- 液晶パネル,側面から入光し前記液晶パネルの背面を照明する導光板と光源とを組み合わせた光源ユニット,前記光源ユニットを保持するシャーシ、を備えた液晶表示装置において、
前記光源は、光出射面と垂直な面に給電用の電極を備えた複数の発光素子が配線基板上に搭載されたものであって、
前記配線基板は、前記発光素子の電極と半田で接続される電極パッド,
前記電極パッドを含み電極パッドの幅より大きな幅で基板表裏面に形成された配線パターン、
および前記電極パッドの周りに複数列で配列され前記基板表裏に形成された配線パターンを接続するスルーホールを有し、
前記配線基板表裏の配線パターンのうち発光素子搭載面と異なる面の配線パターンと前記シャーシとが熱的に接続されたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記配線基板の表裏に形成される配線パターンは、前記配線基板の表裏で対向する位置に概略同じ形状で形成されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記スルーホールは、前記電極パッドを避けて配列されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記光源ユニットを構成する光源は、複数の発光素子を直線状に配列した発光素子列を単位として構成され、一つもしくは複数単位の前記発光素子列を同一配線基板上に2次元的に配列、搭載し、複数枚の前記配線基板を発光素子搭載面が前記液晶パネルの表示面と平行になるよう並べて前記シャーシに取り付けたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
