Description
この種のものでは、燃料タンクのタンク本体が、外層、中間層及び内層の多重構造となっており、燃料の取り出し部としてのインサート部が、タンク本体の外層に例えば熱板溶着により取り付けられているものもある(例えば、特許文献1参照)。
これにより、外層(13c)の形成過程において、外方に膨らむ力によりインサート部(80)の取付け部(80b)の端部(80e)と外層(13c)との間が隙間なく密着されるので、該部分におけるノッチの発生を抑えることができる。
前記インサート部(80)は予め射出成形により形成されており、前記タンク本体(13a)はブロー成形されると共に、前記ブロー成形の際に前記インサート部(80)が前記タンク本体(13a)に同時に取り付けられてもよい。
この構成では、車両における耐燃料透過性樹脂材料製の燃料タンクを製造する方法の簡素化を図ることができる。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態に係る燃料タンク構造を備えたオフロード系自動2輪車の側面図である。この自動2輪車の車体フレーム1は、ヘッドパイプ2、メインフレーム3、センターフレーム4、ダウンフレーム5及びロアフレーム6を備え、これらをループ状に連結し、その内側にエンジン7を支持している。エンジン7はシリンダ8とクランクケース9を備える。メインフレーム3、センターフレーム4及びロアフレーム6はそれぞれ左右一対で設けられ、ヘッドパイプ2及びダウンフレーム5は車体中心に沿って1本で設けられる。メインフレーム3は、エンジン7の上方を直線状に斜め下がり後方へ延び、エンジン7の後方を上下方向へ延びるセンターフレーム4の上端部へ連結している。ダウンフレーム5は、エンジン7の前方を斜め下がりに下方へ延び、その下端部でロアフレーム6の前端部へ連結している。
エンジン7は水冷4サイクル式であり、シリンダ8は、そのシリンダ軸線C1が略垂直になる直立状態でクランクケース9の前部に設けられ、下から上へ順に、シリンダブロック10、シリンダヘッド11、ヘッドカバー12を備える。シリンダ8を直立させることにより、エンジン7の前後方向を短くして、エンジン7をオフロード車に適した構成にしている。シリンダ8の直上位置には、燃料タンク13が配置されている。燃料タンク13は、中空のタンク本体13aを備え、その底部とヘッドカバー12上部との間には、スティフナ部36が配設されている。スティフナ部36は、ダウンフレーム5の上下方向中間部とメインフレーム3の後部とを連結する腕状のフレーム補強部材である。タンク本体13aの内部には内蔵式の燃料ポンプ40が収容されている。
タンク本体13aは、耐燃料透過性を有する樹脂材料で形成され、側面視において左下部に直角部分を有する略直角三角形状をなし、前側下部に略直角部が位置し、上面は後方斜め下がりの斜面をなす比較的小型のものである。
このタンク本体13aの前側部の両側には、メインフレーム3の上面に乗る段部13dが形成され、タンク本体13aの前部には、取付け用ブラケット13eが設けられている。この取付け用ブラケット13eは、下部がタンク本体13aの側壁前面上部へボルト止めされると共に、上部がヘッドパイプ2と一体に形成されて後方へ延びるガセット37(図2参照)へボルト止めされている。
スロットルボディ18は、シリンダヘッド11に設けられた斜め上がりに上方へ延びる吸気通路43へ接続している。燃料噴射ノズル42は、スロットルボディ18の側面に設けられたソケットへ斜めに挿入され、先端の噴射口を吸気通路43内に臨ませ、燃料を吸気通路43内へ噴射する。また、燃料噴射ノズル42には、電線コネクタ44を介して制御用電線48の一端が接続されている。
電装品ケース35は、シリンダ8の後方かつクランクケース9の上方となる位置で、かつシリンダ8へ近い位置にて左側面をセンターフレーム4に支持されている。電装品ケース35の右側は前方へ延出するステー53がエンジンハンガ34の先端へ連結して支持されている。また、排気管20は電装品ケース35の側方を通って後方へ長く延出し、マフラー22の後端部は電装品ケース35よりも後方位置にて開口する(図1参照)。このため、電装品ケース35はシリンダ8からの熱や排気熱が電装品に対して効果的に遮断されるようになっている。
図5は、樹脂パリソンを成形する多層設備射出機構、図6は、ブロー成形の工程を示す。タンク本体13aは、4種6層(2層の接着層を含む。)の多層成形からなる樹脂パリソンを成形し、該パリソンを金型に移してブロー成形により製造される。
予備金型108には、図6Aにおいて、タンク本体13aの上部に溶着するインサート部80と、タンク本体13aの底部13bにインサート成形するインサート成形体(図示せず)とが予め一体に組み付けられる。この金型108に、上述したパリソン100が入れられ(図6A)、パリソン100の内側がプリブロー(図6B)され、及び減圧(図6C)されることで、図6Dに示すように、パリソン100Aの肉厚が決められる。この段階で、インサート部80と、インサート成形体とが一体化される。つぎに、この一体化されたパリソン100Aが、金型109に入れられ(図6E)、この工程では、2箇所にノズル111,112が装着される。
本構成では、図4に示すように、タンク本体13aの外層13cが、インサート部80の取付け部80bの外周取付け面80dに密着し、取付け部80bの端部80eの上に重なるように密着して、取付け部80bよりも外方かつ上方に張り出すように形成されているため、外層13cの形成過程において、外方に膨らむ力によりインサート部80の取付け部80bの外周取付け面80dおよび端部80eと外層13cとの間が密着されるので、該部分におけるノッチの発生を抑えることができる。
さらに、タンク本体13aの張り出し内面13fに連なって、取付け部80bの外周取付け面80dに対向して延在するタンク本体13aの対向内面13gが、タンク本体13aの外側に向けて取付け部80bの外周取付け面80dから離れるように傾斜しているため、外層13cの形成過程において、外方に膨らむ力によりインサート部80の取付け部80bの外周取付け面80dおよび端部80eと外層13cとの間が密着されるので、該部分におけるノッチの発生を抑えることができる。
図7Aでは、取付け部80bと外層13間を斜めに裁断して、この外層13の収縮時に、外層13が取付け部80bを押し付けるようにした。図7Bでは、取付け部80bと外層13間を縦に裁断し、ノッチ部分13nに樹脂を充填して埋めた。また、図7Cでは、取付け部80bと外層13間を縦に裁断し、ノッチ部分13nを潰した。さらに、図7Dでは、取付け部80bと外層13間を縦に裁断し、ノッチ部分13nを加工により落とした。

Claims (3)
- 耐燃料透過性を有する樹脂材料で形成されたタンク本体(13a)と、前記タンク本体(13a)とは別体に樹脂材料で形成され、前記タンク本体(13a)への取付け部(80b)及び燃料の注入用開口(80a)を有するインサート部(80)とを備え、前記インサート部(80)を前記タンク本体(13a)の外層(13c)に溶着により取り付けた車両における樹脂製燃料タンク構造において、
前記タンク本体(13a)の外層(13c)が、前記インサート部(80)の前記取付け部(80b)の端部(80e)において密着するとともに、前記取付け部(80b)よりも外方かつ上方に張り出すように形成されており、
前記タンク本体(13a)は、その外側に向けて前記取付け部(80b)の外周取付け面から離れるように傾斜されて、前記外周取付け面に対向して延在するタンク本体(13a)の対向内面(13g)と、前記対向内面(13g)に連なり、前記取付け部(80b)の外周取付け面(80d)よりも外側に張り出した張り出し内面(13f)とを備えて構成されている、
ことを特徴とする車両における樹脂製燃料タンク構造。 - 前記タンク本体(13a)の外層(13c)が、前記取付け部(80b)の端部(80e)の上に密着することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両における樹脂製燃料タンク構造。
- 前記インサート部(80)は予め射出成形により形成されており、前記タンク本体(13a)はブロー成形されると共に、前記ブロー成形の際に前記インサート部(80)が前記タンク本体(13a)に同時に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両における樹脂製燃料タンク構造。
