Claims (9)
- 輻射ビームを用いて記録層のトラックにマークを書き込むことにより、書込可能型記録担体に情報を記録する装置であって、
前記記録層は、前記トラックの位置を示すプリトラックパターンを有し、
前記装置は、
前記ビームを出すヘッドと、
既定の記録フォーマットにより前記トラックに情報を記録して、前記記録層の始めにあるリードインゾーンの後に、ユーザデータを含む記録エリアを構成する記録手段と、
前記プリトラックパターンを検出できない読み出し装置で再生するために前記記録担体を再生可能化するリードアウト手段であって、前記再生可能化は、前記記録エリアに書き込まれたデータが既定の物理的位置に達するかどうかを判断し、達しない場合、リードアウト情報を記録し、前記データが少なくとも前記既定の物理的位置に達する場合、リードアウト情報を記録しないことである、リードアウト手段と
を有する装置。 - 前記リードアウト手段は、前記既定の記録フォーマットで規定された所定の半径位置を前記既定の物理的位置として用いて前記判断を行うように構成された、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リードアウト手段は、前記既定の記録フォーマットで規定された所定の半径位置よりも実質的に小さい最小半径位置を前記既定の物理的位置として用いて前記判断を行うように構成された、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リードアウト手段は、前記リードアウト情報の記録を前記ユーザデータの終わりから始め、前記既定の物理的位置で終らせるよう構成された、請求項1ないし3いずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記リードアウト手段は、前記リードアウト情報の記録としてダミー情報を記録するように構成され、前記ダミー情報はユーザデータとしてフォーマットされる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リードアウト手段は、前記既定の物理的位置までダミーデータを記録するように構成され、前記ダミー情報はユーザデータとしてフォーマットされ、前記記録はユーザデータの記録中にバックグラウンドモードで実行される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記リードアウト手段は、前記記録担体から最終書込アドレスパラメータを読み出すことにより、前記記録エリアに書き込まれたデータが既定の物理的位置まで達するか前記判断をするように構成され、
前記最終書込アドレスパラメータは、前記記録エリアの始めから始まる前記記録エリアの連続記録部分の最終セクター番号を示す、請求項1に記載の装置。 - 輻射ビームを用いて記録層のトラックにマークを書き込むことにより、書込可能型記録担体に情報を記録する方法であって、
前記記録層は、前記トラックの位置を示すプリトラックパターンを有し、
前記方法は、
既定の記録フォーマットにより前記トラックに情報を記録して、前記記録層の始めにあるリードインゾーンの後に、ユーザデータを含む記録エリアを構成するステップと、
前記プリトラックパターンを検出できない読み出し装置で再生するために前記記録担体を再生可能化するステップであって、前記再生可能化するステップは、前記記録エリアに書き込まれたデータが既定の物理的位置に達するかどうかを判断するステップと、達しない場合、リードアウト情報を記録するステップと、前記データが少なくとも前記既定の物理的位置まで達する場合、リードアウト情報を記録しないステップと、
を有する方法。 - コンピュータプログラムであって、プロセッサにより実行されたとき、前記プロセッサに請求項8に記載の方法を実行させるコンピュータプログラム。
