Description
従って、ベルト強化層およびベルト層を広幅化することは、ベルト耐久性の低下をもたらすことになる一方で、耐摩耗性とに関しては、交錯ベルト層を広幅化することが必要になるという背反関係が存在することになる。
この場合、「適用リム」とは、タイヤのサイズに応じて下記の規格に規定されたリムを、「規定の空気圧」とは、下記の規格において、最大負荷能力に対応して規定された空気圧をいい、最大負荷能力とは、下記の規格で、タイヤに負荷することが許容される最大の質量をいう。
なお、ここでいう空気は、窒素ガス等の不活性ガスその他に置換することも可能である。
また、タイヤ幅とは、タイヤの総幅から、タイヤ側面の模様、文字などを除いた断面幅をいうものとする。
ここで、三層以上のベルト層のベルトコードが相互に交錯する場合の「ベルトコード交錯域の幅」は、いずれか二層のコードの最大交錯幅をいうものとする。
なおここでいう、「ゴム厚み」は、ベルト強化層およびベルト層のそれぞれの被覆ゴムの厚みは含まないものとする。
すなわち、その半径比を0.02未満としたときは、トレッドショルダ部付近のトレッドゴムゲージを十分に確保することが難しくなる。
すなわち、コード径の7.0倍を越える値とすると、トレッドショルダ部の総厚みが厚くなりすぎて、回転中の発熱量が多くなり、結果として、耐久性の向上を期し難くなる。
すなわち、それが30°未満では、別の故障核となる、交錯層間の周方向剪断歪が増加して、耐久性の低下のおそれが高くなり、一方、それが70°を越えると、交錯層の面内剪断剛性が小さくなって、耐摩耗性能が低下することになる。
すなわち、層間ゴム厚みが2mm未満では、層間ゴムに、十分な歪抑制機能を発揮させることが難しく、一方、10mmを越えると、層間ゴムの発熱量が多くなりすぎて、発熱耐久性の低下が懸念される。
なお、ここでゴムの引張弾性率とは、50%伸張時の引張弾性率(M50)をいうものとする。

これらのタイヤの寸法諸元は、評価結果と併せて、表1に示す。
指数値は大きいほどすぐれた結果を示すものとした。

これに対し、それぞれのベルト層のベルトコードの傾斜角度を、ともに22°とし、ベルト半径比を0.085とした従来例タイヤおよび、比較例タイヤ1,2では、ベルト耐久性能の低さが否めない。
Claims (8)
- 少なくとも一対のビードコアに係留した、トロイド状のカーカスのクラウン域の外側でトレッドゴムの内側に、周方向に延びる補強素子からなる一層以上のベルト強化層と、タイヤ赤道面に対して相互に逆方向に延びるそれぞれのベルトコードからなる二層以上のベルト層にて形成したベルトとのそれぞれを、半径方向内側から順次に配設し、二層以上のベルト層のベルトコード交錯域の幅をタイヤ幅の65〜90%、ベルト強化層の幅をタイヤ幅の60〜85%とするとともに、タイヤへの正規内圧充填姿勢での、ベルトの、タイヤ赤道面上での半径(Ro)と、ベルト側縁位置での半径(R1)との差(R0−R1)の、ベルト半幅に対するベルト半径比を0.06以下としてなる空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- ベルト強化層と、それの外周側に隣接するベルト層との、ベルト強化層側縁位置での、それぞれの層厚み中心線間距離を、ベルト強化層の補強素子の径の1.8倍以上7.0倍以下としてなる請求項1に記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- それぞれのベルト層のベルトコードの、タイヤ赤道面に対する傾斜角度を30〜70°の範囲としてなる請求項1もしくは2に記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- 二層以上のベルト層のベルトコード交錯域の幅を、ベルト強化層の幅より広幅としてなる請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- タイヤへの正規内圧充填姿勢での、トレッド表面の、タイヤ赤道面上での半径(r0)とトレッド側縁位置での半径(r1)との差(r0−r1)の、トレッド半幅に対するトレッド半径比を、0.07以下としてなる請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- ベルト強化層と、それの外周側に隣接するベルト層との間のゴム厚みを、その隣接ベルト層の側縁側に向けて漸増させてなる請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- ベルト強化層と、それの外周側に隣接するベルト層との間のゴム厚みを、2〜10mmの範囲としてなる請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
- ベルト強化層と、それの外周側に隣接するベルト層との間のゴムの引張弾性率を、ベルト強化層の被覆ゴムの引張弾性率以下としてなる請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の空気入りラジアルタイヤ。
