Description
Claims (9)
- 薄膜トランジスタを有する第1パネル基板とカラーフィルタを有する第2パネル基板の間に液晶を介在させた液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルに光を供給するバックライトユニットと、を備えた液晶表示装置であって、
前記バックライトユニットは第1側部から第2側部に向って延びる複数の冷陰極管を有し、
前記冷陰極管は、第1冷陰極管と第2冷陰極管とを含み、
前記第1冷陰極管は、第1側部の電極が第1回路基板上のインバータ回路に接続し、第2側部の電極が接地され、
前記第2冷陰極管は、第2側部の電極が第2回路基板上のインバータ回路に接続し、第1側部の電極が接地され、
前記第1回路基板上のインバータ回路は、隣接するインバータ回路でそれぞれ逆位相の交流電圧を発信することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項1において、前記第1冷陰極管と前記第2冷陰極管は交互に配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記第1冷陰極管と前記第2冷陰極管は2本毎に交互に配置されていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1において、前記第2回路基板上のインバータ回路は、隣接するインバータ回路でそれぞれ逆位相の交流電圧を発信することを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
- 請求項2において、前記第1冷陰極管及び前記第2冷陰極管は所定の方向に複数本並んで配置され、
複数の前記第2冷陰極管は、2本の前記第1冷陰極管の間に1本配置される前記第2冷陰極管を有し、
前記1本配置される前記第2冷陰極管は、両側に位置する前記2本の前記第1冷陰極管の内の、一方の前記第1冷陰極管と同位相の交流電圧が印加されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項3において、前記第1冷陰極管及び前記第2冷陰極管は所定の方向に複数本並んで配置され、
複数の前記第2冷陰極管は、2本の前記第1冷陰極管の間に一対配置される前記第2冷陰極管を有し、
前記一対配置される前記第2冷陰極管は、両側に位置する前記2本の前記第1冷陰極管の内の、一方の前記第1冷陰極管と同位相の交流電圧が印加されることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項3において、前記複数の冷陰極管は所定の方向に並んで配置され、
前記所定の方向における、前記複数の冷陰極管の両端部の内、一方の端部には1本の第3冷陰極管が配置され、他方の端部には1本の第4冷陰極管が配置され、
前記第3冷陰極管は、接地された第1電極を有し、
前記第4冷陰極管は、接地された第2電極を有し、
前記第1電極は、前記複数の冷陰極管の内、前記第3冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管のインバータ回路と接続している電極と対向しており、
前記第2電極は、前記複数の冷陰極管の内、前記第4冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管のインバータ回路と接続している電極と対向していることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項7において、前記第3冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管は第1冷陰極管であり、
前記第4冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管は第2冷陰極管であり、
前記第1電極は、前記第1側部と前記第2側部との内の、一方の側部に位置しており、
前記第2電極は、前記一方の側部と異なる他方の側部に位置していることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項7において、前記第3冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管、及び前記第4冷陰極管の最も近くに位置する前記冷陰極管は、第1冷陰極管であり、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極とは、前記第1側部に位置していることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
