料に取り付けられ、グラフト材料によりほぼ覆われてもよい)は、従来のzステントと変わらない、概してきつい丸みを有する。しかし近位側の頂点203は、より大きい丸みを有する。近位側の頂点202と遠位側の頂点203との違いは、図5に絵的に図示される。図示された例では、丸みのある近位側の頂点202は6.0mmの曲率半径を有する。一方、よりきつい遠位側の頂点202は、1.0mmの曲率半径を有する。本発明に係る非対称のステントの特定の実施例では、丸みのある近位側の頂点の曲率半径(図5に示す方法で測定される)は、約4mm〜約9mmであってもよく、よりきつい遠位側の頂点の曲率半径は、約0.5mm〜約1.5mmであってもよい。
丸み302bは、中央丸み302aから略等距離にあってもよく、異なる距離に配置されてもよい。ステント300の近位側の頂点として、中央丸み302aの各々は1.0mmの曲率半径を有し、肩丸み302bの各々は0.5mmの丸み曲率半径を有する。遠位側の頂点304は1.0mmの曲率半径を有する。丸屋根形状を有する他の実施例(図示せず)では、近位側の頂点の中央および肩丸みは各々、たとえば0.5mmの同一の曲率半径を有し、遠位側の頂点もまた0.5mmの曲率半径を有してもよい。他の実施例では、中央および肩丸み302a,302bは各々約0.5mm〜約5mmの曲率半径を有し、遠位側の頂点は約0.5mm〜約1.5mmの曲率半径を有してもよい。丸屋根形状を有する他の実施例(図示せず)では、近位側の頂点の中央丸みと各々の肩丸みとの曲率半径の比は約3:1であってもよい。図8はまた、ステントの実施の形態において望ましい比を説明するために有用な三つの距離を示す。「X」は、肩丸み302bの頂点の先端間の距離を示す。「Y」は、遠位側の頂点304の先端間の距離を示す。「N」は、遠位側の頂点304の先端と近位側の丸み302aの頂点の先端との間の、長手軸に沿う距離を示す。望ましい実施の形態は、約1:3〜約7:8のX:Yの比と、約1:1〜約3:1のY:Nの比とを含んでもよい。さらに他の実施例(図示せず)では、この実施例の丸い頂点が、図4−7を参照して述べられた実施例の略半球状の頂点に組み合わされてもよい。

Claims (20)
- 第一の略直線部および第二の略直線部と、前記第一の略直線部および前記第二の略直線部の間に配置され第一の曲率半径を有する第一の曲線部と、を含む、少なくとも一つの遠位側の頂点と、
第三の略直線部および第四の略直線部と、前記第三の略直線部および前記第四の略直線部の間に配置され前記第一の曲率半径よりも大きい第二の曲率半径を有する第二の曲線部と、を含む、少なくとも一つの近位側の頂点と、を備え、
前記第一の略直線部と前記第二の略直線部との少なくとも一方は、前記第三の略直線部と前記第四の略直線部との少なくとも一方に連結する、ステント部材。 - 前記第二の曲率半径は、前記第一の曲率半径の少なくとも二倍である、請求項1に記載のステント部材。
- 略連続する複数の遠位側の頂点と近位側の頂点とを備え、その外面は略不変の円周を有する円筒を規定する、請求項1または請求項2に記載のステント部材。
- 前記第一の曲率半径は、約0.5mm〜約1.5mmである、請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記第二の曲率半径は、約4mm〜約9mmである、請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記第一の曲率半径はほぼ1mmであり、前記第二の曲率半径はほぼ6mmである、請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記第二の曲率半径に対する前記第一の曲率半径の比は、約1:2.6〜約1:18である、請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記近位側の頂点の各々は、周方向に前記遠位側の頂点からずれている、請求項1から請求項7のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 略連続する複数の近位側の頂点と遠位側の頂点とを備え、その外面は円錐台を規定する、請求項1から請求項8のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記近位側の頂点の少なくとも一つは、前記第二の曲線部から離れて配置された第一の丸みと第二の丸みとを備え、前記第一の丸みは第一の丸み曲率半径を有し、前記第二の丸みは第二の丸み曲率半径を有する、請求項1から請求項9のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記第一の丸み曲率半径と前記第二の丸み曲率半径との各々はほぼ1mmの曲率半径を有し、前記第一の曲線部はほぼ0.5mmの曲率半径を有する、請求項10に記載のステント部材。
- 前記第一および第二の丸み曲率半径に対する前記第一の曲線部の曲率半径の比は、約1:1〜約1:10である、請求項10または10に記載のステント部材。
- グラフトをさらに備え、前記ステント部材の遠位側の頂点の少なくとも一つは一つ以上の縫合糸を使用して前記グラフトに取り付けられる、請求項1から請求項12のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- グラフトをさらに備え、遠位側の頂点の少なくとも一つが前記グラフトに縫合され、近位側の頂点の少なくとも一つが前記グラフトの近位端を越えて延在して、前記ステントは前記グラフとの前記近位端に配置されている、請求項1から請求項12のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
- 前記ステントは、前記曲線部と前記直線部とを有し略円筒を規定する金属線を含み、
前記第一の曲率半径は約1mmであり、
前記第二の曲率半径は約6mmである、請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載のステント部材。 - 複数の近位側の頂点と、複数の略直線部によって前記近位側の頂点に連結された複数の遠位側の頂点と、を備え、
近位側の頂点の各々は第一の曲線部を含み、遠位側の頂点の各々は第二の曲線部を含み、
前記第一の曲線部と前記第二の曲線部との各々は、少なくとも一つの曲率半径を有し、前記近位側の頂点の少なくとも一つの前記曲率半径は前記遠位側の頂点の少なくとも一つの前記曲率半径よりも大きい、ステント部材。 - 前記近位側の頂点の外周は、前記遠位側の頂点の外周よりも大きい、請求項16に記載のステント部材。
- グラフトをさらに備え、前記ステント部材の遠位側の頂点の少なくとも一つは一つ以上の縫合糸を使用して前記グラフトに取り付けられる、請求項16または請求項17に記載のステント部材。
- 前記グラフトに取り付けられた第二のステント部材をさらに備え、前記第二のステント部材は、複数の近位側の頂点と、複数の略直線部によって前記近位側の頂点に連結された複数の遠位側の頂点と、を備え、
近位側の頂点の各々は第一の曲線部を含み、遠位側の頂点の各々は第二の曲線部を含み、
前記第一の曲線部と前記第二の曲線部との各々は、少なくとも一つの曲率半径を有し、前記遠位側の頂点の少なくとも一つの前記曲率半径は前記近位側の頂点の少なくとも一つの前記曲率半径よりも大きい、請求項18に記載のステント部材。 - 少なくとも一つの分枝ステント、グラフト、またはその組合せをさらに備え、その一部は少なくとも近位側の頂点の内径を横に経由して配置される、請求項16から請求項19のいずれかに記載のステント部材。
