Abstract
Description
本願は、2018年8月24日に出願された米国特許出願第16/111,496号明細書、及び2017年8月31日に出願された米国仮特許出願第62/552,467号明細書に対する優先権及び完全な利益を主張するものであり、これらの開示は参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる。
図1を参照すると、本発明に係るディスプレイシステム10が示されている。ディスプレイシステム10は、自動車又は航空機内のヘッドアップディスプレイといった、車両内のヘッドアップディスプレイ(HUD)であってもよい。しかしながら、ディスプレイシステム10は車両内のヘッドアップディスプレイに限定されず、画像を投影する任意の種類のディスプレイであってもよい。「ディスプレイシステム」として考えられるディスプレイの非限定の例には、広告、プロモーション又は情報のディスプレイ等が含まれる。ディスプレイシステム10は、人間が視認できる(例えば、可視スペクトル内の)画像を投影してもよい。或いは、ディスプレイシステム10は、電磁スペクトルの非可視領域内の画像を投影してもよい。

Claims (15)
- 画像を投影するディスプレイシステムであって、
改良されたP偏光放射線反射性を有する積層体であって、
前記積層体の外面を備える第1の面及び前記第1の面に対向する第2の面を備える第1の層、
前記第2の面に隣接する第3の面及び前記第3の面に対向し且つ前記積層体の内面を備える第4の面を備える第2の層、
前記第1の層と前記第2の層との間に位置付けられる中間レイヤ、並びに
前記第1の層及び/又は前記第2の層の面の少なくとも1つにおける少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる改良P偏光反射性コーティングであって、
前記面の少なくとも1つの一部上に位置付けられるベースレイヤ、
前記ベースレイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第1金属機能レイヤ、
前記第1金属機能レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第1位相調節レイヤ、
前記第1位相調節レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第2金属機能レイヤ、
前記第2金属機能レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられるトップコートレイヤ、及び
前記トップコートレイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられるオーバーコートを備える改良P偏光反射性コーティングを備え、
前記積層体が、前記積層体の法線に対して60°の角度で、P偏光放射線を備える、放射線源からの放射線と接触する場合に、標準光源Aを用いた値で少なくとも70%の視感透過率(LTA)及び、少なくとも10%のP偏光放射線の反射率を示す前記積層体と、
P偏光放射線を備える放射線を放射する、前記積層体に向けられた放射線源とを備える、ディスプレイシステム。 - 前記光源と前記積層体との間に位置付けられ、P偏光放射線の少なくとも一部を通過させるように構成される偏光フィルタを更に備える、請求項1に記載のディスプレイシステム。
- 放射線が、第1の面‐空気界面のブルースター角に略等しい角度で前記第1の面に接触するように、前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、前記第4の面の少なくとも一部上に位置付けられ、前記積層体に向けられた前記放射線源が、前記積層体に対して角度をもって位置付けられるか、又は、放射線が、空気‐第4の面界面のブルースター角に略等しい角度で前記第4の面に接触するように、前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、前記第1の面の少なくとも一部上に位置付けられ、前記積層体に向けられた前記放射線源が、前記積層体に対して角度をもって位置付けられる、請求項1又は2に記載のディスプレイシステム。
- 前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、
前記第2犠牲金属レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第2位相調節レイヤと、
前記第2位相調節レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第3金属機能レイヤと、
前記第3犠牲金属レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられるトップコートレイヤと、
前記トップコートレイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられるオーバーコートとを更に備える、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイシステム。 - 前記第1位相調節レイヤ又は前記第2位相調節レイヤが、
酸化金属膜を備える第1膜と、
前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び/又は前記第2位相調節レイヤの前記第1膜上に位置付けられる第2膜であって、金属合金酸化膜を備える、前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び/又は前記第2位相調節レイヤの第2膜と、
前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び/又は前記第2位相調節レイヤの第2膜上に位置付けられる第3膜であって、酸化金属膜を備える、前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び/又は前記第2位相調節レイヤの第3膜とを備える、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - 前記ベースレイヤが、350〜500オングストロームの厚さを有し、
前記第1位相調節レイヤが、675〜1,050オングストロームの範囲内の厚さを有し、
前記第2位相調節レイヤが、600〜850オングストロームの範囲内の厚さを有し、
前記第1金属機能レイヤが、50〜150オングストロームの範囲内の厚さを有し、
前記第2金属機能レイヤが、50〜125オングストロームの範囲内の厚さを有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1金属機能レイヤ及び前記第2金属機能レイヤが、50〜150オングストロームの範囲内の組み合わせられた厚さを有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1金属機能レイヤ又は前記第2金属機能レイヤが銀を備え、前記システムが他の金属機能レイヤを一切含まない、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1金属機能レイヤ、前記第2金属機能レイヤ及び前記第3金属機能レイヤが、250〜275オングストロームの範囲内の組み合わせられた厚さを有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記ベースレイヤ、前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び前記トップコートが、1600〜1850オングストロームの範囲内の組み合わせられた厚さを有する、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、前記第1金属機能レイヤと前記第1位相調節レイヤとの間に位置付けられる第1犠牲レイヤを更に備える、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、前記第2金属機能レイヤと前記トップコートレイヤとの間に位置付けられる第2犠牲レイヤを更に備える、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1位相調節レイヤ及び前記第2位相調節レイヤが、1450〜1575の範囲内の組み合わせられた厚さを有する、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記改良P偏光反射性コーティングが、前記第3金属機能レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第3犠牲金属レイヤを更に備える、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1金属機能レイヤと前記第1位相調節レイヤとの間で、前記第1金属機能レイヤの少なくとも一部上に位置付けられる第1犠牲接触レイヤと、
前記第2金属機能レイヤと前記トップコートレイヤとの間で、前記第2金属機能レイヤ上に位置付けられる第2金属機能レイヤとを更に備える、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
