Abstract
Description
これに対して、リン酸リチウム(Li3PO4)等の酸化物系材料においては、アルゴン等の単独ガスでスパッタ成膜が可能であるため、LiPON等と比較して高い成膜レートを確保できるものの、正極層であるLiCoO2との界面抵抗(リチウムイオンの輸送抵抗)がLiPONの場合と比べて大きいため出力特性の向上が図れないという問題がある。
上記第1の固体電解質層は、上記正極層と上記負極層との間に配置され、シリコンを含む。
上記第2の固体電解質層は、上記正極層と上記第1の固体電解質層との間に配置され、シリコンを実質的に含まない。
これにより、第2の固体電解質層の成膜に要する時間が短くなるため、生産性の向上を図ることが可能となる。
基板上に、コバルトを含む正極層を形成し、
上記正極層上に、シリコンを実質的に含まないリチウムイオン伝導性の下地電解質層を形成し、
上記下地電解質層上に、シリコンを含むリチウムイオン伝導性の固体電解質層を形成し、
上記固体電解質層上に、負極層を形成する。
図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る薄膜リチウム二次電池の構成を示す概略断面図である。
第2の固体電解質層22の厚みは、好ましくは、10nm以上100nm以下である。これにより、固体電解質材料層2の成膜時間の短縮化を図りつつ、正極層1との間の界面抵抗を効率よく低減することができる。
続いて、以上のように構成される本実施形態の薄膜リチウム二次電池100の製造方法について説明する。図2は、薄膜リチウム二次電池100の要部の層構造を示す模式図である。
以下、実験例を通じて、本実施形態の薄膜リチウム二次電池100の詳細について説明する。
・スパッタ電源:13.56MHz、100W
・ターゲット:LPO−LSO(LPO:LSO=50:50)
・スパッタガス:アルゴン
・スパッタ圧力:0.1Pa(サンプル1)、0.25Pa(サンプル2)、0.6Pa(サンプル3)
・スパッタ電源:13.56MHz、2000W
・ターゲット:LPO
・スパッタガス:窒素
・スパッタ圧力:0.25Pa

- コバルトを含む正極層と、
負極層と、
前記正極層と前記負極層との間に配置され、シリコンを含むリチウムイオン伝導性の第1の固体電解質層と、
前記正極層と前記第1の固体電解質層との間に配置され、シリコンを実質的に含まないリチウムイオン伝導性の第2の固体電解質層と
を具備する薄膜リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1に記載の薄膜リチウム二次電池であって、
前記第2の固体電解質層は、リチウムを含む酸窒化物材料で構成される
薄膜リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の薄膜リチウム二次電池であって、
前記第1の固体電解質層は、Li3PO4とLi4SiO4との混合物である
薄膜リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の薄膜リチウム二次電池であって、
前記第1の固体電解質層は、前記第2の固体電解質層よりも大きな厚みを有する
薄膜リチウム二次電池。 - 請求項4に記載の薄膜リチウム二次電池であって、
前記第2の固体電解質層は、10nm以上100nm以下の厚みを有する
