Abstract
【解決手段】太陽電池は、導電性透明基板1の少なくとも一方の面に、光電変換可能な無機粒子3と、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子4,5とを含む光電変換層を積層することにより作製する。導電性高分子4,5は、増感作用及び/又は電荷輸送作用を有する。そのため、光電変換層に光電変換可能な無機粒子と、この粒子を光励起するための増感剤と、電荷輸送剤とを含有させるとともに、前記増感剤及び/又は電荷輸送剤を前記導電性高分子で構成してもよい。

式(Ia)で表される化合物は、(a1)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環、単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族複素環、ポルフィリン環又はフタロシアニン環であり、nが0であり、k1が2〜4であり、pが1である化合物であってもよく、(a2)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環、又は単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族複素環であり、リンカーLが直接結合、窒素原子、酸素原子、硫黄原子、ビニレン基、2〜4価の芳香環基、2〜4価の芳香環集合基又はこれらの組み合わせであり、nが1であり、k1が1又は2であり、pが2〜4である化合物であってもよい。

無機粒子は、チタン酸カルシウム、チタン酸ストロンチウム、チタン酸バリウム、酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ニオブ、酸化タンタル、酸化タングステン、酸化亜鉛、及び酸化錫から選択された少なくとも一種の金属酸化物(例えば、酸化チタン)で構成してもよい。
導電性透明基板は、全体が導電性を示す透明基板であってもよいが、通常、少なくとも一方の表面が導電性を示す透明基板であり、ベース基板と、このベース基板の少なくとも一方の面(片面又は両面)に積層された透明導電層とを備えている。
光電変換層は、光電変換可能な無機粒子(又は光半導体粒子)と、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造(又は架橋構造)を有する導電性高分子とを含んでいる。このような導電性高分子は、増感作用及び/又は電荷輸送作用を有する。そのため、光電変換可能な無機粒子と、この粒子を光励起するための増感剤(又は励起分子)と、電荷輸送剤(又は固体電解質)とを含む光電変換層において、導電性高分子で増感剤及び/又は電荷輸送剤を構成してもよい。特に、簡単な構造で光電変換率を向上できる点から、同一の又は異なる種類の導電性高分子(例えば、同一の導電性高分子)で増感剤及び電荷輸送剤を構成するのが好ましい。
芳香族カルボニル化合物としては、1又は複数のカルボニル基(カルボニル基含有基)を有する芳香族化合物である限り特に制限されず、例えば、下記式(Ia)で表される化合物であってもよい。
式(Ia)において、Aで表される芳香環としては、芳香族炭化水素環[例えば、単環式芳香族炭化水素環(ベンゼン環など)、縮合多環式芳香族炭化水素環(インデン、ナフタレン環などの縮合二環式炭化水素環;アセナフチレン、フルオレン、フェナレン、アントラセン、フェナントレン環などの縮合三環式炭化水素環;ピレン、ナフタセン環などの縮合四環式炭化水素環;ペンタセン、ピセン環などの縮合五環式炭化水素環;ヘキサフェン、ヘキサセン環などの縮合六環式炭化水素環;コロネン環などの縮合七環式炭化水素環など)]、芳香族複素環[例えば、単環式複素環(チオフェン環などの硫黄原子を含む5〜6員複素環;ピロール、ピラゾール、イミダゾール環などの窒素原子を含む5〜6員複素環;フラン環などの酸素原子を含む5〜6員複素環;オキサゾール、オキサジアゾール環などの窒素原子及び酸素原子を含む5〜6員複素環;チアゾール、チアジアゾール環などの窒素原子及び硫黄原子を含む5〜6員複素環など)、多環式複素環(キノリン環などの縮合二環式複素環;キサンテン、カルバゾール、アクリジン、フェナントリジン、フェナジン、フェノチアジン、フェノキサジン環などの縮合三環式複素環;ポルフィン環(又はポルフィリン環);フタロシアニン環など)]、これらの誘導体(アントラキノンなどの炭化水素環式ケトン、ピラゾロンなどの複素環式ケトンなど)などが例示できる。なお、これらの芳香環は置換基(後述の非反応性基R2など)を有していてもよい。

なお、式(Ic)において、両末端に位置するA1の種類、A1に置換するR1、R2の種類、k1、k2の値は、それぞれ、一方の末端と他方の末端とで同一であってもよく、異なっていてもよい。
式(Id)で表される化合物は、フラーレンの外側に歪んだπ電子雲がフラーレン間又は近傍の二重結合部位と重なるため、全体に亘りπ電子共役系構造を形成すると推定される。
芳香族ポリアミンは、複数のアミノ基(第1級アミノ基)を有する芳香族化合物である限り特に制限されず、例えば、下記式(IIa)で表される化合物であってもよい。
式(IIa)において、互いにオルト位で接するR3とR4との一対の基の置換数k3は、例えば、1〜10程度の範囲から選択でき、nが0であるとき、k3は2〜10、好ましくは2〜8、さらに好ましくは2〜6(例えば、2〜4)程度であり、nが1であるとき、k3は1〜4、好ましくは1〜3、さらに好ましくは1〜2(例えば、1)程度である。なお、環Aが縮合環であるとき、少なくとも1つの環にR3とR4との一対の基が置換していればよい。また、R3とR4との一対の基の置換位置は特に制限されず、例えば、環Aに複数置換する場合、任意の2つの一対の基は隣接位に置換してもよいが、反応性の点から、非隣接位に置換するのが好ましい。さらに、環A、R2、R4が、それぞれ1分子中に2以上含まれるとき、種類は互いに同一又は異なっていてもよい。また、pが2以上であるとき、k2、k3の値は、それぞれ、互いに同一又は異なっていてもよい。
式(IIb)で表される化合物としては、例えば、2,2’−ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ベンジジン、3,3’−ジアミノベンジジン、3,5’−ジヒドロキシベンジジン、3,5’−ジメルカプトベンジジンなどの置換基を有していてもよいベンジジン;3,3’−ジメチルナフチジンなどの置換基を有していてもよいナフチジンなどが例示でき、上記置換基としては、アルキル基、ハロアルキル基、ヒドロキシル基、アルコキシ基、ハロアルコキシ基、メルカプト基、アルキルチオ基、ハロアルキルチオ基などが例示できる。
芳香族複素環式化合物は、芳香族アルデヒド化合物との複数の反応部位(複素環のヘテロ原子に隣接するα−炭素部位)を有していればよく、芳香族複素環式化合物は、単環式化合物、縮合環式化合物、環集合化合物のいずれであってもよい。複素環化合物の複素環は、5〜8員環、好ましくは5〜7員環、さらに好ましくは5又は6員環であってもよい。複素環は、通常、芳香族5員環を含む場合が多い。さらに、複素環は、通常、酸素原子、硫黄原子、窒素原子又はイミノ基、セレン原子、テルル原子から選択された少なくとも1つのヘテロ原子を有している。これらの複素環化合物は単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
複素環のヘテロ原子Xとしては、例えば、酸素原子、硫黄原子、窒素原子又はイミノ基(NH基)、セレン原子、テルル原子などが例示でき、複素環化合物の複素環は、単一のヘテロ原子を含んでいてもよく、同一又は異なる種類の複数のヘテロ原子を含んでいてもよい。複素環のヘテロ原子は、通常、酸素原子、硫黄原子、窒素原子又はイミノ基、特に硫黄原子である場合が多い。
R6で表されるアルキル基としては、前記と同様のアルキル基(直鎖状又は分岐鎖状C1−10アルキル基など)、シクロアルキル基としては、前記と同様のシクロアルキル基(シクロヘキシル基などのC5−10シクロアルキル基など)、アリール基としては、前記と同様のアリール基(フェニル基などのC6−10アリール基など)が例示できる。R7及びR8で表されるアルキレン基としては、メチレン、エチレン、プロピレン、トリメチレン、テトラメチレン基などのC1−10アルキレン基が例示できる。連結基L2としては、例えば、直接結合(−)、−C(O)O−(カルボニルオキシ基)、−OC(O)−(オキシカルボニル基)、酸素原子、硫黄原子などが例示できる。ヘテロ原子X4としては、前記と同様に、硫黄原子、酸素原子、窒素原子又はイミノ基(NH基)などが例示できる。
環Het1〜Het3としては、環Hetの項で例示の単環式複素環、例えば、フラン環、チオフェン環、ピロール環、ピリジン環が好ましく、特に、チオフェン環、フラン環、ピロール環(例えば、チオフェン環)が好ましい。R5a〜R5cで表される非反応性基としては、非反応性基R5と同様の置換基が例示できる。
Het1〜Het3は前記と同様の芳香族複素環(チオフェン環などの5員芳香族複素環など)、X1〜X3は前記と同様のヘテロ原子(硫黄原子など)、R5a〜R5cは前記と同様の非反応性基(ヘキシル基などのC1−10アルキル基など)、r1〜r3は前記と同様の0〜2の整数(例えば、0又は1)であり、A3及びA4は前記と同様の芳香族性環(ベンゼン、ナフタレン環などのC6−10アレーン環など)が例示でき、p2は1〜5(例えば、1〜4、好ましくは1〜3)程度の整数、p3は1〜5(例えば、1〜4、好ましくは1〜3)程度の整数である。
重合性組成物(又は架橋性組成物)は、さらにドーパントを含んでいてもよい。ドーパントは、電子供与性ドーパント(例えば、アルカリ金属(ナトリウム、カリウムなど)、アルカリ土類金属(カルシウム、マグネシウムなど)、第4級アンモニウム塩(テトラメチルアンモニウム、テトラエチルアンモニウム、テトラプロピルアンモニウム、テトラブチルアンモニウム、メチルトリエチルアンモニウム、ジメチルジエチルアンモニウムなど)など)、電子受容性ドーパント(例えば、ハロゲン類、有機シアノ化合物、フルバレン化合物、プロトン酸、ルイス酸、有機金属化合物など)であってもよい。好ましいドーパントは、電子受容性ドーパントである。なお、重合成分(又は反応成分)が、ドーパントとして機能する化合物、例えば、スルホ基、ジヒドロキシボルニル基(−B(OH)2)などの酸性基を含む化合物(プロトン酸として機能する化合物)である場合、これらの化合物は自己ドーピング可能である。そのため、重合成分(又は反応成分)が、ドーパントとして機能する化合物である場合、ドーパントは必ずしも必要ではない。
芳香族アルデヒド化合物と芳香族複素環式化合物とを含む組成物は、酸触媒を含むのが好ましい。なお、芳香族複素環式化合物が、スルホ基、ジヒドロキシボリル基(−B(OH)2)などの酸性基を含む場合、酸触媒は必ずしも必要ではない。また、ドーパントが酸性基(スルホ基など)を有する化合物である場合にも、酸触媒は必ずしも必要ではない。
重合性組成物(又は架橋性組成物)は、さらに溶媒(又は溶剤)を含んでいてもよい。溶媒としては、芳香族カルボニル化合物と芳香族ポリアミン及び/又は芳香族複素環式化合物とを可溶であるとともに、反応を阻害しない限り、特に限定されず、例えば、水、炭化水素類(トルエン、キシレンなどの芳香族炭化水素類など)、ハロゲン化炭化水素類(ジクロロメタン、クロロホルム、クロロベンゼンなど)、エーテル類(ジメチルエーテル、ジエチルエーテルなどの鎖状エーテル類;ジオキサン、テトラヒドロフランなどの環状エーテル類など)、カルビトール類(メチルカルビトールなどのC1−4アルキルカルビトールなど)、セロソルブ類(メチルセロソルブ、エチルセロソルブなどのC1−4アルキルセロソルブなど)、ケトン類(アセトン、メチルエチルケトンなどの鎖状ケトン類;シクロヘキサノンなどの環状ケトン類など)、エステル類(酢酸メチル、酢酸エチル、酢酸ブチルなど)、アミド類(ホルムアミド;N−メチルホルムアミド、N,N−ジメチルホルムアミドなどのN−モノ又はジC1−4アルキルホルムアミド;N−メチルアセトアミド、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミドなどのN−モノ又はジC1−4アルキルアセトアミドなど)、ニトリル類(アセトニトリル、プロピオニトリルなど)、ピロリドン類(2−ピロリドン、3−ピロリドン、N−メチル−2−ピロリドン、N−メチル−3−ピロリドンなど)、スルホキシド類(ジメチルスルホキシドなど)などであってもよい。これらの溶媒は、単独で又は混合溶媒として使用できる。重合性組成物は、有機溶媒溶液であってもよく、水性組成物(水溶液、水分散液)であってもよい。
芳香環A5(芳香族ポリカルボニル化合物に由来する芳香環)、芳香環A6〜A7(芳香族ポリアミンに由来する芳香環)としては、環Aと同様の芳香環が例示できる。
芳香環A5(芳香族アルデヒド化合物に由来する芳香環)としては、環Aと同様の芳香環が例示でき、Hetで表される芳香族複素環としては、Xが硫黄原子、酸素原子又は窒素原子である5員環を含む単環式、縮合環式又は環集合複素環などが例示できる。
太陽電池は、慣用の方法、例えば、導電性透明基板の少なくとも一方の面に、光電変換組成物を適用して光電変換層を形成することにより作製できる。この方法は、通常、導電性透明基板の少なくとも一方の面に、無機粒子を含むペーストを塗布する工程と、この工程で得られた塗膜(多孔質層又は無機半導体層)に、導電性高分子(増感剤及び電荷輸送剤)を含む組成物[又は導電性高分子(増感剤及び電荷輸送剤)を形成するための組成物]を塗布する工程とを含んでいる。
ガラス板に、実施例の導電性高分子を形成するための組成物をキャストした後、窒素雰囲気下、実施例と同条件で熱処理することにより、有機半導体膜を作製し、抵抗率計(三菱化学株式会社製、「MCP−HT450」)を用いて、表面抵抗率を測定した。
ガラス板に、実施例の導電性高分子を形成するための組成物をキャストした後、窒素雰囲気下、実施例と同条件で熱処理することにより、有機半導体膜を作製し、UV−Visスペクトル測定(日立ハイテクノロジー(株)製、「分光光度計U−3900H」)を行い、吸光スペクトルを得た。また吸光スペクトルの吸収端からバンドギャップを算出した。
実施例で作製した色素増感太陽電池を、ソーラーシミュレーター(三永電機製作所(株)製「XES-301S+EL-100」)を用い、AM 1.5、100mW/cm2、25℃の条件で評価した。
(1)多孔質酸化チタン電極の作製
メノウ乳鉢に酸化チタン粒子((株)ダイセル製、ルチル型結晶)1gを加え、メチルセルロース(東京化成工業(株)製)を0.5重量%含む酢酸水溶液(pH3)3mlを少しずつ加えながら30分間混合して、酸化チタンペーストを得た。
6mlサンプル瓶にトリス(4‐ホルミルフェニル)アミン10mg、2,2’:5’,2”−ターチオフェン4.4mg、p−トルエンスルホン酸一水和物7.2mgを入れ、1,4−ジオキサン1453.3mgに溶解した。この溶液を孔径0.2μmのフィルターでろ過することにより、組成物を調製した。
(1)で得られた多孔質酸化チタン電極に(2)で得られた組成物をキャストした後、窒素雰囲気下、120℃で1時間熱処理を行うことにより導電性高分子(厚み10μm)を形成し、光電変換層を形成した。なお、導電性高分子の導電性は6.6×104Ω/□であり、バンドギャップは1.8eVであった。
(3)で得られた光電変換層にアルミニウム電極を真空蒸着形成することにより、太陽電池を得た。
(1)多孔質酸化チタン電極の作製
実施例1と同様にして多孔質酸化チタン電極を得た。
6mlサンプル瓶に1,3,5−トリホルミルベンゼン((株)ナード研究所製)16.2mgとトリス(4−アミノフェニル)アミン29.0mgを入れ、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド860mgに溶解した。この溶液を孔径0.2μmのフィルターでろ過することにより、組成物を調製した。
(1)で得られた多孔質酸化チタン電極に(2)で得られた組成物をキャストした後、窒素雰囲気下、300℃で1時間熱処理を行うことにより導電性高分子(厚み10μm)を形成し、光電変換層を作製した。なお、導電性高分子の導電性は8.0×1010Ω/□であり、バンドギャップは2.7eVであった。
(3)で得られた光電変換層にアルミニウム電極を真空蒸着形成することにより、太陽電池を得た。
(1)多孔質酸化チタン電極の作製
実施例1と同様にして多孔質酸化チタン電極を得た。
6mlサンプル瓶にトリス(4−ホルミルフェニル)アミン16.5mgと2,2’−ビス(トリフルオロメチル)ベンジジン16.5mgを入れ、シクロヘキサノン1350mgに溶解した。この液を孔径0.2μmのフィルターでろ過することにより、組成物(コーティング組成物)を調製した。
(1)で得られた多孔質酸化チタン電極に(2)で得られた組成物をキャストした後、窒素雰囲気下、300℃で1時間熱処理を行うことにより導電性高分子(厚み10μm)を形成し、光電変換層を作製した。なお、導電性高分子の導電性は4.2×105Ω/□であり、バンドギャップは2.7eVであった。
(3)で得られた光電変換層にアルミニウム電極を真空蒸着形成することにより、太陽電池を得た。

Claims (17)
- 導電性透明基板及びこの導電性透明基板の少なくとも一方の面に積層された光電変換層を備えた太陽電池であって、前記光電変換層が、光電変換可能な無機粒子と、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子とを含んでいる太陽電池。
- 導電性透明基板及びこの導電性透明基板の少なくとも一方の面に積層された光電変換層を備えた太陽電池であって、前記光電変換層が、光電変換可能な無機粒子と、この無機粒子を光励起するための増感剤と、電荷輸送剤とを含んでおり、前記増感剤及び/又は電荷輸送剤が、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子で構成されている太陽電池。
- 導電性高分子が、炭素−炭素単結合、炭素−炭素二重結合、炭素−炭素三重結合、炭素−窒素二重結合、アミド結合、イミダゾール環、オキサゾール環及びチアゾール環から選択された少なくとも一種の単位を介して、複数の芳香環が三次元的に連結した高分子である請求項1又は2記載の太陽電池。
- 導電性高分子が、架橋性組成物で形成されており、前記架橋性組成物が、反応部位としての1又は複数のカルボニル基を有する芳香族カルボニル化合物と、反応部位としての複数のアミノ基を有する芳香族ポリアミン及び複素環のヘテロ原子に隣接し、かつ反応部位としての複数の未修飾のα−炭素位を有する芳香族複素環式化合物から選択された少なくとも1つの芳香族反応成分とを含み、
前記芳香族反応成分が芳香族ポリアミンであるとき、前記芳香族カルボニル化合物が、反応部位としての複数のカルボニル基を有する芳香族ポリカルボニル化合物であり、かつ前記芳香族ポリカルボニル化合物及び芳香族ポリアミンのうち、少なくとも一方の成分が、3以上の反応部位を有しており、
前記芳香族反応成分が芳香族複素環式化合物であるとき、前記芳香族カルボニル化合物が、反応部位としての1又は複数のホルミル基を有する芳香族アルデヒド化合物であり、かつ前記芳香族アルデヒド化合物のホルミル基の数を「T」とし、前記芳香族複素環式化合物の未修飾のα−炭素位の数を「U」とするとき、T≧2 及び/又は U≧3を満たし、
前記芳香族反応成分が芳香族ポリアミン及び芳香族複素環式化合物の組み合わせであるとき、前記芳香族カルボニル化合物が、反応部位としての複数のホルミル基を有する芳香族ポリアルデヒド化合物である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。 - 芳香族カルボニル化合物が、下記式(Ia)
で表される化合物である請求項4記載の太陽電池。 - 芳香族カルボニル化合物が、式(Ia)において、
(a1)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環、単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族複素環、ポルフィリン環又はフタロシアニン環であり、nが0であり、k1が2〜4であり、pが1である化合物、又は
(a2)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環、又は単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族複素環であり、リンカーLが直接結合、窒素原子、酸素原子、硫黄原子、ビニレン基、2〜4価の芳香環基、2〜4価の芳香環集合基又はこれらの組み合わせであり、nが1であり、k1が1又は2であり、pが2〜4である化合物
である請求項5記載の太陽電池。 - 芳香族ポリアミンが、下記式(IIa)
で表される化合物である請求項4〜6のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。 - 芳香族ポリアミンが、式(IIa)において、
(b1)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環、単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族複素環、ポルフィリン環又はフタロシアニン環であり、nが0であり、k3が2〜4であり、pが1である化合物、又は
(b2)環Aが単環又は縮合二乃至七環式芳香族炭化水素環であり、リンカーLが直接結合、窒素原子、酸素原子、硫黄原子、ジアゾ基、ジスルフィド基、ビニレン基、2〜4価の芳香環基又はこれらの組み合わせであり、nが1であり、k3が1又は2であり、pが2〜4である化合物
である請求項7記載の太陽電池。 - 芳香族複素環式化合物が、単環式化合物、縮合環式化合物及び環集合化合物から選択された少なくとも一種であり、かつ複素環のヘテロ原子として、酸素原子、硫黄原子、窒素原子又はイミノ基、セレン原子から選択された少なくとも1つのヘテロ原子を有する5〜8員芳香族複素環を含む請求項4〜8のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。
- 芳香族複素環式化合物が、下記式(III)
で表される化合物である請求項4〜9のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。 - 架橋性組成物が、1分子中に反応部位としてのホルミル基2〜4個を有する芳香族ポリアルデヒド化合物と、1分子中に反応部位としてのアミノ基2〜4個を有する芳香族ポリアミンとを含み、芳香族ポリアルデヒド化合物及び芳香族ポリアミンのうち少なくとも一方の成分が、3以上の反応部位を有する組成物であるか、又は
1分子中に反応部位としてのホルミル基2〜4個を有する芳香族ポリアルデヒド化合物と、複素環のヘテロ原子に隣接し、かつ反応部位としての未修飾のα−炭素位2〜8個を1分子中に有する芳香族複素環式化合物とを含む組成物である請求項4〜10のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。 - 無機粒子が、チタン酸カルシウム、チタン酸ストロンチウム、チタン酸バリウム、酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化ニオブ、酸化タンタル、酸化タングステン、酸化亜鉛、及び酸化錫から選択された少なくとも一種の金属酸化物で構成されている請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。
- 無機粒子が、酸化チタンで構成されている請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の太陽電池。
- 光電変換可能な無機粒子を光励起するための増感剤であって、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子で構成されている増感剤。
- 光電変換可能な無機粒子と、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子とを含む光電変換組成物。
- 光電変換可能な無機粒子と、この無機粒子を光励起するための増感剤と、電荷輸送剤とを含む光電変換組成物であって、前記増感剤及び/又は電荷輸送剤が、実質的に全体がπ共役系からなる三次元網目構造を有する導電性高分子で構成されている光電変換組成物。
- 導電性透明基板の少なくとも一方の面に、光電変換可能な無機粒子を含むペーストを塗布する工程と、この工程で得られた塗膜に請求項4〜11のいずれかに記載の架橋性組成物を塗布して熱処理する工程とを含む太陽電池の製造方法。
