Description

(c)皮膚表面にわたって延在する第3のエレメントであって、前記第3のエレメントは、前記第1および第2のエレメントを電気的に導通させるための導電性媒体を含み、前記導電性媒体は、第2の電気抵抗を有し、第1および第2の電気抵抗の少なくとも一方は、第1および第2の電気抵抗の他方より小さく、その結果、外部電源の非存在下で、前記導電性媒体を通じて皮膚表面を横切って流れる電流が、第1のエレメントと第2のエレメントとの間に発生する第3のエレメント

Claims (17)
- (a)少なくとも1つの元素金属を含む第1のエレメント、
(b)少なくとも1つの半導体材料を含む第2のエレメントであって、前記第1および第2のエレメントが、第1の電気抵抗を有する金属/半導体接合部を通じて互いに接触している、第2のエレメント、および
(c)皮膚表面にわたって延在する第3のエレメントであって、前記第3のエレメントが、前記第1および第2のエレメントを電気的に導通させるための導電性媒体を含み、前記導電性媒体が、第2の電気抵抗を有する、第3のエレメント
を含む局所用または美容用システムであって、
第2の電気抵抗が第1の電気抵抗より小さく、その結果、電源の非存在下で、前記導電性媒体を通じて皮膚表面を横切って流れる電流が、第1のエレメントと第2のエレメントとの間に発生する、
局所用または美容用システム。 - 第2の電気抵抗が、第1の電気抵抗の半分未満である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第2の電気抵抗が、第1の電気抵抗の10%未満である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第2の電気抵抗が、第1の電気抵抗の1%未満である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 導電性媒体が、十分に高い導電率を有し、その結果、発生した電流が、約1μAから約1000μAまでの範囲の電流密度を有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第1のエレメントが、金、ロジウム、白金、イリジウム、銀、銅、アルミニウム、ならびにそれらの合金および混合物からなる群から選択される1つ以上の元素金属を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第2のエレメントが、酸化亜鉛、酸化錫、酸化イリジウム、酸化インジウム、酸化アルミニウム、およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される1つ以上の半導体材料を含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第2のエレメント中の半導体材料が、実質的にドーパントを含まない、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 第3のエレメント中の導電性媒体が、(1)電解質溶液、(2)ハイドロゲル、(3)導電性接着剤および(4)それらの組合せからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 導電性媒体がハイドロゲルを含む、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 少なくとも一方の側が皮膚表面への適用に十分な接着性を有する基板パッチを含む局所用または美容用デバイスであって、前記基板パッチの第1の領域が、少なくとも1つの元素金属を含み、前記基板パッチの第2の領域が、少なくとも1つの半導体材料を含み、前記第1および第2の領域が、第1の電気抵抗を有する金属/半導体接合部を通じて互いに接触しており、前記基板パッチが、皮膚表面にわたって延在する、第1および第2の領域を電気的に導通させる導電性媒体を含み、前記導電性媒体が、第2の電気抵抗を有し、第2の電気抵抗が、第1の電気抵抗より小さく、その結果、電源の非存在下で、前記導電性媒体を通じて皮膚表面を横切って流れる電流が、第1の領域と第2の領域との間に発生する、局所用または美容用デバイス。
- 請求項1に記載のシステムを使用することによって、皮膚表面を横切って流れる電流を発生させるステップを含む、皮膚の損傷を予防または治療するための方法。
- 皮膚の損傷が、皮膚創傷、急性または慢性の光損傷、化学的または環境的損傷、しわ、小じわ、弾力性の減少、および皮膚の老化によって引き起こされるコラーゲンまたは含水量の減少からなる群から選択される、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 第1のエレメントと第2のエレメントとの間の金属/半導体接合部のサイズを減少させるために、第1のエレメントと第2のエレメントとの間に挿入された垂直の絶縁体をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の局所用または美容用システム。
- 垂直の絶縁体が、金属/半導体接合部のサイズを2/3以下減少させる、請求項14に記載の局所用または美容用システム。
- 第3のエレメント16の中間部分と接合部13のエレメント12および14の隣接部分との間に挿入された水平の絶縁体をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の局所用または美容用システム。
- 第3のエレメントと、第1のエレメントおよび第2のエレメントの少なくとも1つとの間に挿入された非導電性シートの形態の選択的に除去可能な絶縁体をさらに含み、その結果、除去可能な絶縁体が除去されるまで、電流が第3のエレメント16を通じて流れることが防止される、請求項1に記載の局所用または美容用システム。
