Abstract
【解決手段】増感色素が担持された半導体3を付着した第1の電極1と、半導体3に対向配置された第2の電極2と、第1の電極1と第2の電極2により挟持された電荷輸送層4とを有する光電変換素子に関する。そして増感色素は、金属錯体色素が複数化学結合した複合体色素であり、金属錯体色素の配位子が、半導体と結合性を有する官能基を備えたものであることを特徴とする。増感色素は半導体に強固に固定されるものであり、増感色素の半導体からの脱離による変換効率の低下を防ぐことができる。

Description
平均1次粒子径が20nmの高純度酸化チタン粉末をエチルセルロース中に分散させ、スクリーン印刷用のペーストを作製した(これを第一のペーストとする)。次に、平均1次粒子径が20nmと平均1次粒子径が400nmの高純度酸化チタン粉末をエチルセルロース中に分散させ、スクリーン印刷用のペーストを作製した(これを第二のペーストとする)。
実施例1と同様にして基板5の電極1に半導体層3を形成した。そして式(1)及び式(2)の金属錯体色素をそれぞれ0.2mM含有する有機溶液に基板5を浸漬し、次いで室温で24時間暗所下に静置した。このようにして複合化前の式(1)及び式(2)の金属錯体色素を半導体層3に付着させた基板5を溶媒で洗浄した後、実施例1と同じアミン触媒存在下で、120℃で10分間加熱し、式(1)と式(2)の金属錯体色素が複合化された複合体色素からなる増感色素を半導体層3に付着させた。
実施例1と同様にして基板5の電極1に半導体層3を形成した。また式(2)の金属錯体色素を0.2mM含有する有機溶液に基板5を浸漬し、次いで室温で24時間暗所下に静置した。このようにして複合化前の式(2)の金属錯体色素を半導体層3に付着させた基板5を溶媒で洗浄した後、ポリビニルアルコール3質量%と、実施例1と同じアミン触媒の存在下で、120℃で10分間加熱し、式(2)の金属錯体色素が複合化された複合体色素からなる増感色素を半導体層3に付着させた。
色素として式(3)に示すものを用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして、図1に示すような構成の色素増感太陽電池を作製した。

Claims (5)
- 増感色素が担持された半導体を付着した第1の電極と、半導体に対向配置された第2の電極と、第1の電極と第2の電極により挟持された電荷輸送層とを有する光電変換素子において、前記増感色素は、金属錯体色素が複数化学結合した複合体色素であり、金属錯体色素の配位子が、前記半導体と結合性を有する官能基を備えたものであることを特徴とする光電変換素子。
- 前記複合体色素が、前記半導体と結合性を有する官能基を3つ以上有するものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の光電変換素子。
- 複合体色素が、発色部を2ヶ所以上有するものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の光電変換素子。
- 増感色素が担持された半導体を付着した第1の電極と、半導体に対向配置された第2の電極と、第1の電極と第2の電極により挟持された電荷輸送層とを有する光電変換素子の製造方法であって、前記半導体と結合性を有する官能基及び、この官能基とは異なる官能基Aを有する第1の金属錯体色素と、前記半導体と化学結合性を有する官能基及び、この官能基とは異なり官能基Aと化学結合性を有する官能基Bを有する第2の金属錯体色素とを、半導体の表面に付着させる工程と、前記第1の金属錯体色素の官能基Aと、前記第2の金属錯体色素の官能基Bを化学結合させて、複数の金属錯体色素を結合した複合体色素からなる増感色素を半導体の表面で形成する工程とを備えることを特徴とする光電変換素子の製造方法。
- 増感色素が担持された半導体を付着した第1の電極と、半導体に対向配置された第2の電極と、第1の電極と第2の電極により挟持された電荷輸送層とを有する光電変換素子の製造方法であって、前記半導体と結合性を有する官能基及び、この官能基とは異なる官能基Aを有する金属錯体色素を、半導体の表面に付着させる工程と、前記金属錯体色素の官能基Aと化学結合性を有する官能基を複数有する化合物を半導体の表面に供給して、この化合物の複数の官能基と複数の金属錯体色素の官能基Aを化学結合させ、複数の金属錯体色素を化合物を介して結合した複合体色素からなる増感色素を半導体の表面で形成する工程とを備えることを特徴とする光電変換素子の製造方法。
