Abstract
【解決手段】画素領域がマトリックス状に配列された液晶パネルと、画素領域を活性化するためのスキャン信号を供給するゲートドライバと、複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を利用して複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧と複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成するガンマ電圧生成部と、第1及び第2階調用ガンマ電圧から生成されたデータ電圧を液晶パネルに供給するデータドライバを含む。

Claims (18)
- ゲートラインと、
前記ゲートラインに共通連結された第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタと、
前記ゲートラインに交差配置されて前記第1薄膜トランジスタに連結されたデータラインと、
前記ゲートラインに平行に配置されて前記第2薄膜トランジスタに連結された共通ラインと、
前記第1薄膜トランジスタに連結された画素電極と、
前記第2薄膜トランジスタに連結された共通電極と
を含む液晶パネル。 - 前記第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタは等しい寄生容量を持つ
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶パネル。 - 前記第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタは同時にスイッチングされる
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶パネル。 - 画素領域がマトリックス状に配列された液晶パネルと、
前記画素領域を活性化するためのスキャン信号を供給するゲートドライバと、
複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を利用して前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧と複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成するガンマ電圧生成部と、
前記第1及び第2階調用ガンマ電圧から生成されたデータ電圧を前記液晶パネルに供給するデータドライバと
を含む液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1階調はホワイト階調またはブラック階調の何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2階調はホワイト階調またはブラック階調の何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記ガンマ電圧生成部は、前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を生成するための第1手段と、前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を反転させて前記複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成するための第2手段とを含むことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1手段に連結されて前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を維持及び増幅させるための第3手段をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第2手段は、複数の反転増幅器を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記複数の反転増幅器は、基準電圧を基準に前記第1階調用ガンマ電圧を反転させる
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記基準電圧は共通電圧である
ことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記複数の反転増幅器は、前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧の個数だけ具備される
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記液晶パネルとして、請求項1または2に記載の液晶パネルを用いる
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記第1及び第2薄膜トランジスタは、前記スキャン信号に従って同時にスイッチングされる
ことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の液晶表示装置。 - 液晶表示装置の液晶パネルにスキャン信号を供給する段階と、
複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を利用して前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧と複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成する段階と、
前記第1及び第2階調用ガンマ電圧から生成されたデータ電圧を前記液晶パネルに供給する段階と
を含む液晶表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記第1階調はホワイト階調またはブラック階調の何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記第2階調はホワイト階調またはブラック階調の何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項15に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧と複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成する段階は、前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を生成する段階と、前記複数の第1階調用ガンマ電圧を反転させて前記複数の第2階調用ガンマ電圧を生成する段階とを含むことを特徴とする請求項15に記載の液晶表示装置の駆動方法。
