Abstract
【解決手段】物体位置を検出する物体位置検出手段2,22,3,23と、物体種類を推定する物体種類推定手段24と、探索領域内における物体位置検出手段2,22,3,23による複数の位置検出結果を統合して物体の大きさを推定する物体推定手段24とを備え、物体種類推定手段24で推定した物体種類に基づいて探索領域を設定することを特徴とする。さらに、物体位置検出手段2,22,3,23は複数の位置検出基準を用いて物体位置を検出し、物体種類推定手段24は物体位置検出手段2,22,3,23で物体位置を検出できた位置検出基準に基づいて物体種類を推定し、探索領域は物体位置を検出できた位置検出基準に基づいて設定されることを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- 物体位置を検出する物体位置検出手段と、
物体種類を推定する物体種類推定手段と、
探索領域内における前記物体位置検出手段による複数の位置検出結果を統合して物体の大きさを推定する物体推定手段と
を備え、
前記物体種類推定手段で推定した物体種類に基づいて探索領域を設定することを特徴とする物体検出装置。 - 前記物体位置検出手段は、複数の位置検出基準を用いて物体位置を検出し、
前記物体種類推定手段は、前記物体位置検出手段で物体位置を検出できた位置検出基準に基づいて物体種類を推定し、
探索領域は、物体位置を検出できた位置検出基準に基づいて設定されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載する物体検出装置。 - 前記物体位置検出手段は、走査した電磁波の物体からの反射波を受信して物体位置を検出するレーダセンサと撮像した画像を解析して物体位置を検出する画像センサであり、
前記物体推定手段は、探索領域内における前記レーダセンサによる位置検出結果と前記画像センサによる位置検出結果を統合し、
前記レーダセンサは、複数の位置検出基準を用いて物体位置を検出し、
物体位置は、物体の横方向の位置であり、
探索領域は、前記レーダセンサで検出した物体位置を基準とし、前記レーダセンサで物体を検出できた位置検出基準に基づいて設定されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載する物体検出装置。 - 前記レーダセンサにおける位置検出基準は、走査した電磁波の物体からの反射波を受信したときの受信強度の閾値であり、
大きい受信強度の閾値で検出した場合には、小さい受信強度の閾値で検出した場合に比較して、探索領域が大きいことを特徴とする請求項3に記載する物体検出装置。
