Abstract
【解決手段】 内燃機関の吸気装置は、吸気コレクタ8と複数の吸気ブランチ7とを含む吸気マニホールド1を備え、吸気マニホールド1には隣接する吸気ブランチ7間を遮蔽する連結壁9が設けられており、各吸気ブランチ7a,〜,7dは連結壁9とともにエンジン4の吸気側側面20からエンジン4の上方を覆うようにして湾曲しエンジン4の上方に位置する吸気コレクタ8に接続され、連結壁9には、エンジン4の吸気側側面20に面した部分に対して開口部12が形成されている。

Claims (9)
- 吸気コレクタと複数の吸気ブランチとを含む吸気マニホールドを備えた内燃機関の吸気装置であって、吸気マニホールドには隣接する吸気ブランチ間を遮蔽する連結壁が設けられており、各吸気ブランチは連結壁とともに内燃機関本体の吸気側側面から内燃機関本体の上方を覆うようにして湾曲し内燃機関本体の上方に位置する吸気コレクタに接続され、連結壁には、内燃機関本体の吸気側側面に面した部分に対して開口部が形成されていることを特徴とする内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 内燃機関本体が、吸気側側面を車両前側とする横置き姿勢で車両に搭載されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 吸気系へ供給される二次添加ガスが通流するガス通路が連結壁に沿って形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 吸気ブランチの下流側に開口して二次添加ガスを吸気系へ供給するガス通路が通路壁に沿って形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 前記ガス通路は、一部の連結壁に対して形成されており、前記開口部はガス通路を備えていない連結壁に対して形成されると共に、ガス通路を有する連結壁によって内燃機関本体の吸気側側面が略覆われていることを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 内燃機関本体の吸気側から排気側に向かって内燃機関本体と吸気マニホールドとの間を流れる外気が内燃機関の排気系部品を指向するよう、吸気コレクタに外気案内部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 内燃機関本体の吸気側から排気側に向かって内燃機関本体と吸気マニホールドとの間を流れる外気が内燃機関の排気系部品を指向するよう、内燃機関本体に対向する吸気コレクタの底壁面は、内燃機関本体の排気側側面側に傾斜するよう形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 吸気マニホールドは、吸気流れ方向に沿ったブランチ合わせ部で互いに接合されて複数の吸気ブランチを形成する第1及び第2マニホールド分割体を含んで構成され、前記ブランチ合わせ部によって前記連結壁を構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
- 吸気マニホールドは、吸気流れ方向に沿ったブランチ合わせ部で互いに接合されて複数の吸気ブランチを形成する第1及び第2マニホールド分割体と、吸気コレクタの長手方向に沿ったコレクタ合わせ部で前記第1マニホールド分割体に接合されて吸気コレクタを形成する第3マニホールド分割体と、を含んで構成され、前記コレクタ合わせ部によって前記外気案内部が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の内燃機関の吸気装置。
