Il gruppo in oggetto prevede una coppia di pareti verticali (14) disposte contraffacciate ed ai rispettivi lati di un piano di trasporto (5), le quali supportano rispettive pluralità di ruote dentate (15) disposte ad altezze diverse rispetto al piano ed atte a movimentare relative catene (16) chiuse ad anello: alle catene (16) sono asserviti una pluralità di traversini (11) che realizzano così una serie di posizioni rispetto al piano di trasporto (5) rispettivamente di intercettazione del film (2) successivamente all'intercettazione della sua estremità da parte di un gruppo di prodotti (6); un sollevamento verticale, al di sopra del gruppo di prodotti (6), del film (2) in svolgimento così da definire un doppio strato verticale dello stesso pari allo sviluppo di avvolgimento dei prodotti (6); un avvicinamento al piano (5) con pausa nello svolgimento di film (2) atto a permettere il taglio dello stesso: un avanzamento rispetto al piano di trasporto (5) con recupero del film sui prodotti (6) e rilascio dello stesso in corrispondenza della faccia frontale (F) dello stesso; dei mezzi (17) di regolazione dell'altezza delle ruote (15) sono previsti agenti sulle stesse così da variarne la posizione in funzione delle dimensioni del gruppo di prodotti (6).
