Abstract
950,355. Making turbine blades. ROLLSROYCE Ltd. April 27, 1962 [May 2, 1961], No. 15925/61. Heading B3A. [Also in Division F1] A blade for a fluid flow machine such as a turbine has passages, conduits and drillings formed within it. The blade may be a close forging which is subsequently machined by an electrolytic or spark process and may be formed in two halves which abut at the midchord line and are secured together by brazing or electron beam welding. Tho passages, conduits and drillings may be formed by spark machining or by an electrolytic process.
