Abstract
869,833. Fastening railway rails. TEMPERED SPRING CO. Ltd., and YOUNG, G. Dec. 7, 1959 [Oct. 23, 1958], No. 33955/58. Class 104 (2). In a rail fastener in which a deformable plate clip 6 is provided with a heel 12 to bear in a seating 13 and a portion 9 to overlie and bear on the rail flange 3 when occurring means 5, 8 are tightened the clip 6, in the region of the securing means 5, 8, is pro- vided with a downwardly extending portion 15 which bears on the sleeper or base-plate 1 to limit downward movement of this region during the tightening of the securing means 5, 8. The securing means may be a " T "-headed bolt when used with a base-plate or a coach bolt when used with a sleeper.
