827,113. Road-vehicle spring-suspensions. DAIMLER-BENZ A. G. Sept. 19; 1957 [Sept. 22, 1956], No. 29565/57. Class 108(2) [Also in Group XXXI] A motor car framework comprises longitudinal members and two main transverse members 4, 9 located approximately above the wheel axles and above the level of the tops of the tyres to support the wheel suspension systems. The front wheels 3 are mounted for. independent pivotal movement above axes parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and against the action of helical springs 5 abutting attachments 6 on the member 4. The rear wheels 8 and engine 10 are carried by an auxiliary frame 11 pivoted at 12 and connected by resilient devices 13 either to the member 9 or to fittings 14 on the member. The members 4 and 9 are hollow and further frame members are provided to make the framework torsion resistant.
