Abstract

804,772. Installation wiring arrangements. SAUNDERS-ROE, Ltd. Jan. 3, 1957 [Oct. 3, 1955], No. 128133/55. Class 38 (4). [Also in Group XXXVI] An electrical supply installation for aircraft, providing a multiplicity of individual circuits radiating from at least one central point, comprises at least one flexible insulating strip 11, Fig. 2, having formed on one surface by a printed circuit technique, a number of flat longitudinally-extending conductors 12 spaced from each other, and provided with connectors at each end some of the conductors differing in area. The combination may be used flat, with a further insulated covering sheet, or tightly rolled to form a tube, which may be screened. A junction-box for the conductors comprises a number of sheets of insulating material 17, Fig. 6, fixed and spaced vertically in a box 15, each having imprinted concentric conductors 18. The conductors 12 are attached to the conductors 18 by bolts or rivets 26. The combination 11, 12 is held by means of clamping bars 22, 23. Circular cables 16 may also be attached to conductors 18 by means of terminals 28. Other types of connecting arrangements are also described.
