Abstract

792,404. Seat headrests. McINNES, S. Oct. 2, 1956, No. 30003/56. Class 52(2) A headrest, for use with a low-back vehicle seat 4, comprises a tubular framework 1 of metal or bamboo having stitched to the top a neck pad 2 of foam rubber covered with suitable material and secured to the lower end a lumbar pad 3 of similar construction or of wickerwork, the device being placed against the back of the seat where the weight of the user keeps it in position. In modifications the framework 1 is triangular or I-shaped and in a further modification (Fig. 6) is telescopically adjustable. The framework may also have arm rests.
