761,072. Pneumatic separating. COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DE PROCEDES. ET D'APPLICATIONS SOC. ANON. Sept. 23, 1953 [Sept. 25, 1952], No. 26231/53. Class 117 [Also in Group III] In the pneumatic grading of granular solid particles fluidized by means of a gas, continuous pulsations of a frequency between 2 and 16000 cycles per second are imparted to the gas. In each cycle the gas velocity may increase rapidly and then decrease over a longer period. The pulsating gas flow may be produced by vibrating plates, sonic or infrasonic generators, rotating shutters or discs, or by using the exhaust from internal combustion engines or from burners operating in an explosive manner.
