764,507. Vibration dampers. BLACKBURN & GENERAL AIRCRAFT, Ltd., KING, A., WINN, E. A., SAUNDERS, C. G., and PIPER, R. H. Nov. 21, 1955 [Dec. 9, 1954], No. 35708/54. Class 108(3). A vibration damper comprises a sphere 1 supported by six circular rubber pads 2 disposed respectively concentrically with the ends of three mutually perpendicular diameters of the sphere 1 Four of the pads 2 are carried by a frame 3 adapted to be made fast to the part (not shown), the vibrations of which are to be damped. The remaining two pads 2 are carried by a cradle 4 rigid with the frame 3. A formula is given for determining the dimensions of the pads in terms of the radius of the sphere.
