Abstract

A titanium base alloy, used in the manufacture of a turbine or compressor blade (see Group XXII) contains one or more of the following elements: carbon, boron, oxygen, nitrogen, magnesium, chromium, aluminium, manganese, molybdenum, iron, vanadium. A preferred composition comprises the following percentages: chromium 2,7, iron 1,3, oxygen 0,25, nitrogen 0,02, carbon 0,02, tungsten (max) 0,04 and the remainder titanium. Specification 659,573 [Group XXII] is referred to.
