Abstract

739,249. Vacuum cleaners. AKTIESELSKABET FISKER & NIELSEN., and BANGSVEJ, P. Jan. 27, 1954, No. 2538/54. Class 8 (1). [Also in Group XXXV] A vertical vacuum cleaner is constructed similarly to that disclosed in Specification 695,246 and the purpose of the invention is to minimize noise by supporting the motor-fan unit at points coinciding or substantially coinciding with a plane passing through the centre of gravity 80 of the rotating parts, viz. armature, armature shaft and fan blades. The level of the motor-fan unit support lies where the outwardly-directed flanges 20 of the motor casing 17 together with a resilient ring 16 rests on a shoulder 15 of a bucket-shaped bearer 12. Specification 675,921 also is referred to.
