700,664. Hot-water supply systems. CUTHELL & CO., Ltd. D. M., and CUTHELL, R. K. M. July 8, 1952 [April 8, 1952], No. 8943/52. Class 64(1) In a domestic hot-water storage unit comprising two tanks 10, 11 arranged side by side and connected together at high and low levels so that hot water can circulate through both, one of the tanks having connections 12. 13 for the boiler flow and return pipes, the tanks are of equal capacity and the high level connection comprises a pipe 18 fitted between the tops of the two tanks and connected to an expansion pipe. The pipe 18 may be welded or brazed to, or connected by nuts with the screw-threaded ends of unions 16, 17 which are welded to or screwed into the cylinders 10, 11. The union 17 is T-shaped for connection to the expansion pipe. The pipe 15 may have similar connections with the tanks. An electric immersion heater may be provided.
