541,100. Fuel-injection valves and pumps. C. A. V., Ltd., and MILLAR, D. May 11, 1940, No. 8534. [Class 7 (iii)] In fuel - injection means having the pump directly combined with the injection nozzle, a body part a has the fuel pump g, h arranged at one end and the injection nozzle f and valve 8 at the other end, and a distance piece d is arranged between the nozzle and a sleeve 2 which carries springs 4, one of which acts on the pump valve z, while the other acts on a stem 5 bearing on the valve 8. Leakage past the valve 8 and stem 5 is carried away by a port 13, groove 14 in the sleeve 2, and passage 15, and leakage past the pump plunger h is drained by a passage wand pipe connection x. Fuel is supplied to the nozzle by eccentrically arranged passages 6, 9, 10.
