Abstract

486,378. F u e 1- injection pumps. L'ORANGE, R. Aug. 31, 1937, No. 23807. [Class 102 (i)] A fuel-injection pump for lightfuels comprises a plunger M having a valve F seated on an axial bore which is connected by ports 12, 13 to the suction conduit 15. An inclined edge 2 is provided on the plunger, and delivery commences when it closes a byepass port 9 which leads to a separate conduit 16. In a modification the valve F is omitted and the suction groove 7 co-operates with a port 12 in the plunger. In a further modification the suction port is controlled by the end of the plunger.
