Abstract
505,569. Motors. LIST, H. Nov. 12, 1937, No. 31086. [Class 35] The windings on the stator core of a motor are intermittently energized through a camactuated interrupter, the duration of the closed periods of which are determined by a speed responsive device. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the rotor has radially extending polepieces 3e co-operating with an equal number of polepieces projecting axially from the potshaped stator 3b the winding 3c of which is energized through interrupter contacts controlled by a member 10e engaging two cams or notched wheels 10a, 12 the former of which is keyed to the shaft and the position of the other . is determined by links connected to governor arms 13, 14. The coil may be subdivided with an interrupter for each section. In the form shown in Fig. 6, an alternative form of stator core is used while as a further alternative, a U -shaped stator core may be used.
