Abstract
474,486. Mounting dynamo - electric machines. GENERAL FIBRE PRODUCTS, Inc. Aug. 28, 1936, No. 23620. Convention date, Sept. 25, 1935. [Class 35] [Also in Group XXIV] The vertical belt 12 is tensioned by the weight of a pulley-structure A opposed to some extent by springs 31, which act on horizontal pulley-structure supports 21 formed with vertical arms 19 pivoted to an upright 4 extending from a base 1. In the form shown, the driving-pulley'C is carried by a motor A adjustably bolted at each side to the horizontal flange 24 of a girder whose other flange 23 is secured by bolts 22 to the support 21. The pivot shaft 16 of the arms 19 is slidable in slots 5 in the upright and is slotted and provided with nuts to receive a pair of screws 13, so that the shaft 16 can be raised and lowered and also tilted to make the belt run straight. The shaft 16 carries a clamping screw by which it can be secured to the upright in its adjusted position. The arms 19 engage the shaft 16 outside the upright and are located on the shaft by collars 28. Each spring 31 is connected to its support 21 by a bolt 32 with adjusting-nut 34.
